| The detangler and shine smells wonderful, almost heavenly!!! I don't know about the shampoo as I use another product. The detangler and shine really looks "oily" but once is dries it leaves the coat with a shine and smells good and it is great for taking mats out.......simply wonderful. I apply it to a mat and let it set for about 5 minutes and then just work the mat out. I love this stuff! I also use it on my maltese who has a very thick and cottony coat whereas my yorkie has a thinner softer coat.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Ok, nevermind...I just canceled my order I realized that it is the DETANGLER that everyone is raving about, and not the actual Shampoo/Conditioner. I don't really need a detangler for him as the mats are not a problem for him. The ones he does get here and there I can get out with a brush myself. Sooo....now I am just looking for a shampoo that helps with oily hair If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears!

| Well, I was hearing raves about Bo Derek's bless the beasts products so I have ordered some of them.......I can let you know how they do on my Yorkie once I get them. He does not seem to have oily hair. I have been using human hair products on him Pantene Ice. Sometimes Frutis long and strong shine shampoo/conditioner. I almost always use a different product each wash. I use petsilk conditioner diluted as it smells good and doesn't make his hair oily. I'm not recommending any particular product as I haven't found the "perfect" anything yet........except the cowboy magic detangler. My kids rough house so much and give each other mats horribly and I brush EVERY day. So I need that stuff in my household. LOL

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | That’s funny, cause after reading it smell heavenly, I’m tempted to buy it even though Joey doesn’t have a matting problem. His hair, between his ears on top, is oily too. The ad for Cowboy Magic says that: “Silk proteins moisturize and strengthen your horse's hair, neutralizing static electricity and resulting in a high shine after brushing. The non-oily, concentrated formula repels dust, dirt, and sand.” So maybe if it repels dirt, it won’t look as oily. Anybody know? Also, there are so many price differences. Where’s the best place to purchase? Sorry if I added to confusion, I confused too! Nancy |

I am basically looking for a Shampoo & Conditioner (or SOMETHING!) that helps with oiliness....for some reason the hair on the very top of his head (between in his ears, and a little ways back behind them as well, on the back of his head) starts looking a little oily after about 3 or 4 days after he has had his bath. It's not BAD...but it's enough to drive me crazy I don't want my baby's head looking even the SLIGHTEST bit oily, lol! It's just weird because the rest of the hair on his body doesn't do this, and I have never noticed it before until recently. I don't get it

it's probably hardly noticable on Steddy - but I know what you're saying. there should be something in that thread that deals with oily hair....lord knows there's a ton of products out there - too many - I want MORE but have to keep using what I have till it runs out. | |
