| Is it safe to let my 1yr old Yorkie sleep in my bed???? Hi everyone, I have a 1 yr old Yorkie and I would like to have her sleep in my bed and I was wondering if that would be safe to do? As of right now she sleeps in her create at night. She loves sleeping in her create, she goes right in it everynight at 9:00 with no problems. So should I just let her keep sleeping in her create or would it be ok for her to start sleeping in my bed? I have another dog a 1 1/2 yr old daushand mix that sleeps in my bed with no problems and I would like to have Molly sleep in my bed also, but since she is smaller then my other dog I am not sure if that would be a good idea. Also I don't want her to bother the other dog and have them both running around the house at night? Anyone have any thoughts on this???? Thanks, Crystal |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | How big and how much does Molly weigh? How tall is your bed? Do you ahve pet steps that she can safely get to your bed and off of your bed with? Both of my girls sleep in bed with me and we've never had a problem but I'm a light sleeper. I was always afraid of squashing one while I was asleep but if they move, I'm awake.

| Both of my yorkies sleep with hubby and I. We have Topher, just over a year old, and Sophie, who's 14 weeks old. They each have their own 'spot' and though they do move around a bit, they know that bedtime is time for quiet so they stay put till morning. Usually when hubby gets up at 7, they both get up to do their business and have some breakfast, then come back to bed withi me till i get the kids up for school. Both pups slept in bed with us on their first nights in our home. Topher had one accident in all this time and Sophie has yet to have one. They know that while on the bed they have to behave. |

| Oh, we do have a ramp that hubby made for the dogs to get up and down off the bed. It wasn't difficult to build and it gives them the freedom to get up or down when they need to. Sophie caught on to it so quickly...perhaps it took a day for her to learn what it was for. |

| Hobbs is 14 months old and Hootie is 7 months old and both of them have slept in our bed with us since the day we brought them home with no problems at all. I am SURE it'll be fine for Molly to sleep in bed with you. |

| Daisy used to sleep with us when we first got her because she would sleep above my head on the pillow. She now sleeps in a playpen. I am afraid that he'll turn over and crush her, so she sleeps in her plypen until about 6:30 then i get her and she comes to bed with us for about an hour. i'm up and know she's there so i keep her close to me and my arm around her so he cant roll over on to her.

| Both of our Yorkies and a Jack Russell sleep in our king size bed every night. I am now glad hubby insisted on the king size! We have a ramp for the Yorkies and even the baby (2 months) can use it. She doesn't stay in one spot as well as the other two. She is always changing positions but she manages to stay in a safe spot. The first couple of nights I did not really sleep well, worried about rolling on her or something. But now we have all found our niche and sleep fine.

| Chachi and jewels have been sleeping in our bed since they were 4 months old without any accidents. I am sure Molly will do fine in your bed. You might want to get some pet stairs for her so she can get up and down

| my golden retriever (Haylee) and my little furbaby Chloe, who is a whopping 4.5 lbs sleep with me. They know when the lights go off and mommy lays down that is time to quit playing and sleep. They both have to be touching me when they sleep, so i always have one on each side. If i move, they move and adjust with me and always stay onthe bed until i get up out of bed. (when i open my eyes, Chloe jumps immediately every morning to wake me with her kisses, and i do mean the second she sees them open)! I wouldnt have it any other way. |

| Haruka is a little over 2.5 lb and almost 9 months... she sleeps on my bed!!! Only thing is if your dog is potty trained. Haruka has peed on my bed before.. a couple months ago.. now we have the stairs (made with boxes)... so she is all set!

| My little guy (14 months old now) started sleeping with me the first night I got him when he was 8 weeks old. We've never had any problems. He still wears a bellyband at night - and he really never pee's. It's "just in case" - and he used to wearing it. Carol Jean |
