| Beyond FRUSTRATED! I got Chewy in the end of August and my October she was almost completely potty trained (wee wee pads) and we got in the habit of taking regular baths(which she hated at first)....then i started working on getting her ears cleaned which only really worked once or twice. Now that she probably has all her adult teeth (7 months) I am planning to start brushing her teeth. Well when she was spayed almost 2 weeks ago...its as if they gave me back the wrong dog. Not literally because shes still my loving baby but I wonder if the traumatic experience could have changed her? She completely forgot what a wee wee pad was for so i find myself potty training from zero again which is very frustrating knowing i just went thru this!!!!! She was also agressive towards me when i was giving her a bath and ignored me for a few hours after she got out of the tub. Just now i tried to wash her ears with oti clens and a cotton ball and she freaked out like she never has...she started scratching and jumping to the point where i couldnt even hold her down. Now she doesnt trust me and wont even come over when i offer her nutri cal!! She has also been barking and biting us a lot lately. Not nibbling like she used to when she was teething but real biting. Is this the age that her molars could be growing in? I havent found any baby teeth in over a month. I really appreciate if anyone has any advice or ideas of what i could do. I want my baby to be happy again and i hate that something is bothering her. thank you marina |

| I wonder if she has a urinary tract infection or something of that nature? It would make her have accidents and be grouchy. I think I would have her checked out by the vet to be sure.

| I thought that it may be something of that nature in the beginning but not anymore since it isnt just her urine that she cant control. You know what i mean? And it seems as though she is doing it on purpose...she will do it right in front of me whole looking me right in the eyes and then run under the bed and hide. thanks though...i guess i prob will call the vet if it doesnt improve in a few days...i asked him yesterday when we went to get her stitched out and he said hes never heard of this....But you guys on here seem to have gone through everything. Please I need help because i dont crate train her and constantly cleaning up her messes all day is taking up wayyyyy too much time. thanks |

| If you dont crate her you need to confine her untill she starts using her pads again. Once they start the habit of going on the floor it can be hard to break

| She is mostly confined to my room. It was easy to confine her when i first got her because she didnt know what was out there..but now that shes been allowed to roam freely for months its hard to keep her in my room all day especially if anyone else is home. she just sits near the door crying and barking. |

| Maybe it's one of the stages she's going through ... and it happened around her spay? I'm sorry but nothing else comes to my mind... Hope you'll get your trained and trusting baby back

| I heard that this happened to alot of dogs. I was so scared when I got zoe neutered because I though it would change his personality and he would forget how to use the pad but I was lucky. I don't know what you can do but I would suggest contacting the vet and ask why she is behaving like this. I would say she feels resentful because zoe did ignore and would not come to me when I called after his neuter but he passed it and not is more attached to me than ever.

| Hummmm....I would ask the vet......I haven't heard of this before after a spay, so I don't know. My Mojo just got neutered about two weeks ago, and he hasn't changed.....well, the only thing that changed was that he hasn't "humped" anything since then. I am sorry, I just don't know! Maybe a quick call to the vet might help.

| Ye i saw the vet yesterday and he said he doesnt think that it has anything to do with the spay he just shrugged and said i guess youll have to train her again...like its something that takes 5 minutes. How do you guys clean their ears? Q tips, cotton balls, cleansers? Ive been to three vets and they each gave me dif. instructions. thanks |

| I have heard people on here say they have syringed the pee off the pad. Other than following them around with a cup that seems to be the only way.. I hope I never have to try to get a urine sample because mine are both trained to go outside
