| Sweater escape artist Hello! It was kind of chilly today, so I put my Yorkie in a sweater with velcro closures and she went off to sleep on the sofa...less than an hour later, she was running through the house, "sweaterless" - she had managed to get it off. This does worry me, because what if she had gotten her neck caught? I've decided never to let her wear an outfit "unsupervised"...have any of you had a similar experience? |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Yes - and you're smart to do that - someone lost their little yorkie over a harness - (her little female was found hanging) I never let my girls wear anything unless I'm around - that includes clothes - harnesses and def no collars. They don't wear collars - I just said that for anyone who may use them - they're too hard on a yorkies neck - |

| Grayson has pulled his paw out of the sweater hole before, and he can get out of his pj's so I can't let him wear them at night now. I'd hate the thought of him getting tangled up in his pj's!

| I put a little hoodie on Sadie and she started scooting backwards trying to rub it off. Finally Ben came to her rescue and pulled it off for her. I am not sure if these two will ever wear clothes.

| Kodak keeps his things on because he thinks he's going out, but I don't let him wear anything when I'm not around.

| Lesson Learned I guess my yorkie has taught me a lesson from all of this: she does not want to wear clothes (or Santa hats) and I should go along with her wishes to help ensure her own safety. Just because I happen to feel chilly does not mean it is time to dress her up. She does enjoy burrowing in a blanket at night, but the blanket is large and provides safe & easy access. |

| Pepper wears clothes only going out, once he sees me taking his sweater or a coat he gets all excited. No collar in the house, he rarely wears one outside (I know, he should...). I once had a kitten when I was a kid and the poor thing got tangled in fringe from a carpet and suffocated . That's why Pepper goes around naked and I really proofed my house...
