Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | Hair Woes! As I've mentioned, Abbie's hair is very fine. It's growing quite fast on top, but every kind of bow I've put in it - she can shake loose with minimal effort! I'm uncertain as to what's best for very very fine silky hair. I've tried the barrette backs, butterfly metal backs, the clippy kind, and she can get rid of all of them. I have not tried the orthodontist bands, as some have suggested; but - won't those cut her hair? *sigh* What's the fun of having a li'l gerl if I can't froofie her up?

| Have you tried bows with bands on them? Barrettes always come out oof Jewels hair too. I put an elastic band in to hold the hair in the topknot then I put in the bow band

| I use those ouchless bands in the children's section on Sophie. Then I cut them out to keep from breaking her hair off while taking them out. They are really cheap and work well for us. I also use the orthodontist bands sometimes. I have noticed that they don't seem to damage the hair unless I try to take them out. I have found cutting them out makes a huge difference. Sophie has thick heavy hair and both kind hold her hair well so they would probably work well for you. Good luck.
