| Omg! Alright so I called Tony's breeder today to ask a teething question and tell her about this wierd coloring that is coming in on my baby and it turns out that he could be parti. She has partis at her place and thinks that somehow Tony could be parti, but she wants to wait until his coat grows out more (he has random colorings, like white, brown and black, he also has really light feet, that are growing out white)... She said that if he did change, she would give me full breeding rights! I have mixed feelings about this. She wants to turn my little lover into a sex machine! What do y'all think? |

| Parti Boy I didn't ask about his littermates. I am still shocked to find out that she was breeding partis. I am pretty excited though. He is a wonderful little boy, and yes, he is getting the whole potty training thing now. There is just something special about him, I know a lot of people say that about their babies, but I don't know about him. He is just so smart, for example, the other day, he didn't have food in his dish (stupid me) so he went in the other room, dug through his puppy bag (my version of his diaper bag), came back in the other room and and along with him he brought me his baggie of food. He is always one step ahead of me, that little smartie pants... Oh I would love to see what beautiful babies he could have though |

| I'm not sure about that, I would think so, but maybe not? I think it is just because he may be a carrier and only partially show the colors (?) and breeding him to a parti would produce partis?? I am so clueless, maybe someone will stumble across this post and set things straight. |

| I am assuming the Parti gene is recessive. If neither of his parents were actually Parti-colored themselves, then both of his parents would need to be carriers of the Parti gene in order to produce a parti puppy. And it is quite possible for your puppy to be the only one in the litter to turn out to be a parti-colored yorkie. So, his parents would not have to be parti-colored in order for him to be parti-colored and he could be the only one in the litter to turn out parti-colored but the others would be carriers of the Parti-colored gene. Don't quote me on this, but I think I've heard this as well. As for the breeding question, I don't know! It would be a hard decision for me as well. Good luck! | |
