| I just don't get it, I really don't get it..... Evening Yorkie lovers, I hate to put type this without all the facts, but this is bugging me. A lady came in my job today with a yorkie that she said was 3mos old. The yorkie was really tiny and looked about 8 weeks old. Mind you, it is freezing here in Chicago and she didn't have her wrapped up or anything. The puppies hair was so thin, I could see her scalp, her legs barely had no hair at all. She wasn't to responsive when I petted her, not once did she lick me or look up. She had a diamond collar and a little hair on top barely holding the bow on. She bragged to the onlookers that she paid $2000 for her at a place here called pocket pups. They have a website and the pictures look a lot healthier than hers did in person. There's a disclaimer online that says they won't sell a pup to early. I can only assume they must've been selling them to soon in the past. She said the puppy passed out last week. The vet revived her and told her about nutrical and low blood sugar. I asked her did the pet store ever mention these facts and she said no. For all that money, they should've broken down everything for her. I told her I read books for an entire year before I bought mines. She also said the puppy eats baby food because she won't eat puppy food. She was not listening to me while standing there boasting about what she spent on what appeared to be a sickly puppy. I could be wrong though. Some people get caught up in the bows, dresses & shirts, they forget about the care and love.

| I had never heard of puppies eating baby food by itself, but I did hear about people who mixed a little with the hard food. Wow, I hope she educates herself a little more, I learn something new all the time about my Kodak.

| People like that scare me! That baby needs good care and help and it doesn't sound like she's going to get it from her owner. Poor baby

| I sure hope you told her about this site. That poor little baby, it's so sad when they seem to care more about the impression they are trying to give instead of the Yorkie!

| You'd think with the attitude she has about her little pup - it would have a closet full of clothes -- right! Carol Jean |

| Sounds just like my dog looked when he was REALLY sick as a puppy. I was having to force feed him and the stress of it all made him loose all his hair on his legs and chest. Its kinda worrying that she doesn't realise how sick her dog is, If she's not careful shes going to loose that dog Picture of Jake once he had recovered and could go outside. - Note the hair loss on the legs and chest area. | Wow, the hair loss could be from stress? thanks for the information. She will have a reality check again, I hate to think like that, but hopefully not.

| It's so annoying! Ever since the whole teacup pocket pup fad has been in, the more stories like this I hear . They get these poor puppies and don't know how to care for them, beacuse they're not informed

| How very unfortunate but there are people that use these puppies for show as you said and they are the same ones that only value material objects in life. They're the "it's all about me and what I have" people. It's very sad and I feel so sorry for that puppy. |

| That is so sad. Why on earth would you pay $2000 for a puppy and not take the time to educate yourself on the needs of that puppy? Poor baby is in for a rough life, if he makes it at all.
