| Gracies Hair... I am worried, should I? My little baby girl Gracie, she is such a rebellious lil baby girl, bless her lil pea pickin heart, I love her to peices...Sorry on to what my question is..... Anyways, I am worried about her hair. I have always been paranoid about it. Anyways. I have attached some photos of her. The first one, (in her sweater) is most current at a year old, The middle one is her at approx 6 months, and the last (tongue out) is her at 12 weeks. Am I being overparanoid, in your opinion, what type of hair does she have, and do you think it will grow anymore? How can I help it grow, I have only used Cowboy Magic on her, she eats Royal Canine (yorkie) food, I bathe her about every 2 - 3 weeks, so is this her hair? I speak to some people and they say it may still be her baby hair, and her adult hair is coming through, well saying that, I do see silver under her black coat. Ok, now I will anxiously await for some responses..lol, thanks!!

| yeah u shouldnt worry about it not even breeders can determine how a pups hair will be at maturity, im not a breeder and i dont know about yorkies that well, i did read in some article if it isnt wrong, that some doggies wont develop the maturity or the permenent hair color until they are in their teens, so all this time she can be like sh is right now, then next year or 5 years from now the gray can kick in, or she can turn all gold, u never know, thats always veries from dog to dog |

| Switch her food to something like Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers Soul(it's better than Royal). Also buy some Missing Link supplement. You need to get that puppy coat to grow out I've heard wonderful things about Cowboy Magic for washing them, that's next on my list to try. Lola started out a puffball with a lot of mats(that I didn't notice till too late) and now she has a lovely silky coat.

| Don't get a big bag of chicken soup. I feed my yorkies the Royal Canin for yorkies too. I tried switching them several times to the chicken soup and Kitty throws up when she eats it. She has also lost weight on it. My cockers have lost weight on it as well. I actually had a cocker miscarry pups while on it. I don't think it's that great of a food. I think your pup is beautiful. My sister has a yorkie that looks alot like yours. It is a pup out of my Kitty. All of the other pups have long silky hair now except my sisters. We are still hoping that she will eventually have a good hair coat. She is 9 mos. old now.

| I would call and see if they can send you a sample of Chicken Soup. Diesel didn't like it at ,all and what I bought went to waste. I was just at my local Petsmart and I didn't see any Missing Link. Is it in a can? What exactly is it?

| Thank you for reposting, I am considering the options. She is so tiny, just 5 lbs, and she is long too. Well you seen her pic. I dont need her to get sick and lose any weight... Oh gosh. If anything, I'd like for her to gain a lb. Im sorry your lil one miscarried. I am in the future to breed her, but my intentions were to breed her w/ Bailey, but he turned out to be extremely too big for her, he is 10 lbs. So, after Christmas, we will definately be looking for a male for my lil girl, and I have been doing my reading and research for the right size for her, about 3.5 - 4 lbs. is what I am seeing. I rushed to buy Bailey, and was just too excited about the size he would end up getting, and the thing of it is, is that I did see his parents even though I was "told" he would get only 5 lbs, his parents obviously were not just5 lbs. I guess I just fell in love w/ him... Wouldn't exchange my baby boy for not a thing in this world. He was only 500.00 We are now prepared to spend up to 1400.00 on a good standard Yorkie traveling and all if we need to. I know that all was completely off topic, guess I just started rambling...lol, but thanks to all thats helping me in my concern.

| Venus is about the same age. The hair on the top of her head is already silver, and the tips are black, like when I first got her! She looks like I quit dying her hair on the head, lol. Her body hair is still black so far. I'm hoping the body hair stays this way, but I think I seen some silver starting to pop up here and there. I feed her Royal Canin Puppy food too. |
