| Camping? Just wondering how many YT talkers travel and camp in RV's? Has there ever been a weekend or extended weekend "Furkid" camping outing planned? Just wondering..... |

| I really don't do the camping thing, but my parents always go so I went with them once, for only a night and Rocky came too. He loved it!

| We go every summer to the mountains in the 5th wheel. Rowdy has gone with us for two summers, Rexy for one summer. They both love it. We are usually out for one to two months. They do get tired of being on leash all the time, so we bought 2 X-pens and put them together so that they can get in it and run off leash. We traveled 3500 miles last summer and they rode every mile. We were out for 2 months and they had a ball. The only glitch was that they got giardia (causes diarrhea) from the river the last couple of weeks of the trip and we had to go to the vet to get medicine. We were in Taos New Mexico and the vet clinic, nor the pharmacy, didn't have the medicine in a dosage small enough for them, so we had to go to Santa Fe to a pharmacy to have the medicine compounded especially in a dosage for them. It took a couple of days to get all that accomplished. We love to travel and so do they. They get so excited when we start loading the 5th wheel.

| Daisy and Teddy Bear love to travel in the rv. It's pretty small and we have only stayed max two nights at a time. The down side is I have found a tick on Daisy twice even tho we don't camp in deep woodsy places. I don't usually let them get in the water because I don't trust them not to drink it.

| When we go "camping" it is usually to a horse event. We have a 4 horse trailer with full living quarters. The furkids go with us -- Chattie, Chizzie, Peppy, plus Boo the Boxer. The only problem we have is that Chattie and Chizzie fight, so we have to keep them seperated. Other than that it is life as usual.... just in a different place |

| Ohhhhhh....we love to be outdoors and camp. We had a motorhome (up until the end of summer) and then sold it because we want a pull behind....thought one that we drove would be better, but for some reason, my DH didn't like it well. Anyway, Mojo LOVES camping.....we take our off-road jeeps, or the 4wheelers out or go to parks, etc...so we do a variety of campy adventures. Mojo is with us on all of them......except for canoeing.....and that is because I haven't found a life-vest that fit him right! He doesn't really like the water, so we don't have to worry about him getting in it.....and he is so spoiled to drinking my water, I don't know if he would even drink out of a creek....HA! As for ticks, we have found several on him in our camping excursions....that is even w/ the K9 Advantix on him. I check him all the time though....all the time. - I am very anal about him being clean and tick free! I worry more about snakes and birds, etc. Can't wait until we get another RV........we tent camped a few times (and of course, when we were younger too), but boy, there is nothing like a warm, comfy RV to sleep in at night or to cool off in during the day! Is that even considered camping??!! HA!!

| Wow that would be a great adventure. You would just have to make sure to maintain your little one on a leash all the time for safety. I know my Ninna likes to "run" so in order to avoid an accident I have to have her on her leash anytime we are oputdoors!!
