Hi Everyone! Newbie & Loving YT I've been a lurker here for a few weeks now and want to say what a wonderful bunch you are! You are all so helpful and full of great information! I will be adding a yorkie to my family within the next month or so, and have been trying to gather as much information as I can. The litter was born on Oct. 1 (2 girls and 3 boys). I've been watching them grow since they were born. One of the girls is already spoken for, but otherwise, they are all available. I know I'm going to have a difficult time choosing, (I'm reading the female vs. male thread with great interest!) I did notice that the girl seems to have slightly runny eyes, and was wondering if this was a concern. She also has a lighter patch of tan on her head/back where the others are mostly black.I've read up on things to look for when choosing a puppy, but I would truly appreciate ANY information that you all have to offer. I'm all ears. Forgive me if this has been discussed in another thread already... I'm not so great with the search tool..

HI! WELCOME! How excited that you are getting your baby soon!!!!!!!!!!! The runny eyes is not too much of a concern. Sometimes eyes run because there is hair poking in them or it could be a clogged tear duct, which isn't serious but if it is a clogged tear duct, her eyes will always run unless you have surgery on the tear ducts. But then again, it could be just hair making them run. I have a male and a female and there are qualities about each that I like. My female is more independant and somewhat "snobby" and my male is much more affectionate. On the other hand, my male is always wanting my attention whereas my female is more laid back. When you are chosing your puppy, I would go see them and see which ones personality and looks you like better. Of course you really cannot tell what it will look like grown when it is only a puppy. I am sure whichever one you chose you will absolutely LOVE!!!!!!!! Please keep us posted on when you will go pick out your baby! Please feel free to ask any questions that come to mind. We're glad to have you here!

| Welcome to YT! Congrats on getting a puppy-how exciting that must be, I am getting my yorkie sometime after the first of the year-can't wait! I personally am wanting a male when it comes time to get mine, but I was always told that when you are looking at a litter, go for the one that comes to you first-so that is probably what I will do! Can't really help you on the color issue-but there are a bunch of nice and informative members here, I am sure someone will help ya out! ps. post pics of your baby when you get him/her!

I already love it here and I don't even have my baby yet! I did take some pictures today when I went to visit, but as you can imagine, it was difficult to get good shots because they were so busy!! I tried to download some, but I guess they were too big. I don't know how to resize. Next time I'll have my camera on a lower quality setting. That's good to know about the runny eyes. It just looked as if the hair on her face and around her eyes was a little wet. I was set on a girl originally, but today a little guy stole my heart... so we'll see. I guess I need to make a decision soon. I can't stop thinking about them Thanks for all the good wishes

Thanks Jeanie!... I just thought maybe seeing the runny eyes would help. The first two pics show the girl at 5 weeks, and the last one is when I saw her today at 7 weeks. They're due to go to the vet the Monday after Thanksgiving.
