| Hailee has a booboo! EEK! Help! Hailee was spayed 3 weeks ago today. She looked great, seemed to heal fine. So, after about 2 weeks, i didn't really keep checking her incision/scar. Tonight I just looked at it and there is a dark red bubble in the incision...looks like it could be filled with blood! Do you think its anything to worry about? Have any of you ever seen anything like that before. It was impossible to keep her from moving around and playing completely after the surgery. She isn't acting too weird...she is eating and playing, but seems sensitive about the area in question. She is a tiny 3 lbs. and is almost 8 months old.

| I'd call the vet first thing in the morning. There may be an infection brewing in there If it's hurting her, then off to the vet you go. That's just my paranoid mommy coming out, but maybe someone more experienced than me will know what to do. Poor baby

| If the outer skin has separated it would be the underlying tissue pushing out. Sounds like someone could use an other stitch.

| Well, the outer skin has not separated, it is bubbled up, but not separated. It looks like a blood blister!

| Thank God! When we woke up this morning, it had "burst". It looks good, like a big pimple that had burst. It isn't looking infected or anything. Amazing! I thought for sure it was a hematoma (sp).

| I would still have her checked by you vet. You can never be too careful with these little ones.

| Piper had that happen also after being spayed. It was infected & the vet put her on antibiotics. She said that happens sometimes with disposable stitches, |

| I just seen the post. Hope Hailee is ok. Maddie scar looked weird and really raised up after her surgery, but now you cant even hardly see anything. Keep us informed. Maddie says give her sissy hug and kisses from her. |
