| I prefer the sweetness and attitude of a male myself! The girls tend to act tough, but behind all that diva attitude, they're typically not. I've had both and prefer a boy HANDS DOWN-to show anyway. Girls, I think are great pets. |

| I have three females and one male...my females range in age from 8 months to 4 years...Reece is 4 MONTHS and rules the roost!! He TAKES what he wants and if the girls dont give it to him...he lays in front of them and barks and barks until they give in to him!! He is a little SH#&...BUT he is also a cuddle bug too!! I notice a BIG difference between male and female but they both have their good points...also Reece has been ALOT harder to housebreak for some reason?? Not sure if that is a male/female thing or not?? Dawn |

| I've had both - and the end result is that they were all equally wonderful pets. I am honest when I say - I don't prefer one over the other. More than the sex - a lot depends on the temperment and personality of each individual dog.... I think especially if our pets are neutered and spayed -- (which they should be) - we'll find few reasons to prefer one sex over the other. Carol Jean |

| My Male yorkie is very sweet and I am glad I have him but I prefer my female just because she favors me and my male favors my Husband. There really isnt alot of differences in the two they all have their unique personalities that arent limited to their gender

| I find the males are a bit harder to potty train but once they have it they have it down pat. The girls seem to have more set backs in that area later in life. All my females right now aren't fixed and they do seem to be a bit more moody and bossy. It really all comes down to personality though and personnal preference.

| We have had both girls and boys before. I have always found the boys to be more lovable and for whatever reason easier to house break. Our Shepherd was housebroken in about a months time. He was very easy. Diesel took about 3 or 4 months to housebreak. We now have Keira and she is about 7 weeks, she is trained to go to the puppy pad. The only difference that I can see so far is her energy level. She is VERY high strung compared to Diesel when he was little. Only time will tell. However, I prefer boys anyday.

seems like majority are on males well, mummy is getting me another pup, and the breeders only has male with him, it's a yorkie mix silky.... and i am still undecided.... should i take it or should i not... thou i appreciate mum's intention of getting me another pup, as i recently just lost my baby tara.... and i have another option which is a pure silky terrier... hmmm... but i wanted a yorkshire... yet it will cost us a hole in mummy's pocket in malaysia pure yorkie is sold at 3 to 4 k.... so a pure yorkie will need to be in future planning list... i am going to get one myself not now but soon... back to the gender... i just want to know how a male doggie will behave and their characteristic......as i know some of my frens doggie are very naughty especially males....

| I have one of each and I love mine the same but my boy is a mommas boy all the way. He's the cuddler and the kisser...my girl is in her own little world and only cuddles when she feels like it So when it comes to what I prefer I can say I don't have a preference. They are different in their own way and thats what I love. |

I have a boy and he's very playful and loving. I don't have a girl yet and I'm not sure what I'm gonna get next. I like girls because of all the girly stuff, but having a boy has been a good experience.
