| Sad news So as you all know.. I plan on getting Wookie a baby brother from a local breeder here in arizona sometime in dec/jan. Well, she emailed me today, and she has a total of 9 pupies from 3 litters of her females.. Well, earlier tonight, one of the mothers broke out of her little gated area, and somehow killed 3 of the other puppies from a different litter They were 3 boys. So now she is down to 6 puppies, 4 girls and 2 boys. I feel so terrible for her. I still have first pick of the other two little boys. But she lost 3 puppies tonight. Just thought I'd share. |

| It Is Sad But we must remember that our little Canine ladies have hormones too. My girls are just as sweet as they can be until they are in heat or taking care of their babies. Blessings to her for her loss, Teri

| Certainly unusal behaviour! Any adult dog that would attack a puppy in my opinion is simply NOT right in the head. These aren't lions, they're dogs. Wolves don't do this either. Either way, I feel bad about the situation. It should've never happened. Poor momma dog (that lost those pups!). |

| How heartbreaking! I can't even imagine. You see it all the time if you watch nature shows. Killing others offspring helps ensure the survival of their own.

| I think they were barely a few weeks old. She emailed me just a few hours earlier saying that almost all of their eyes are open. She knew one of the females had an aggressive side, so that's why she had seperated them. But she had gone to her daughters school for a parent-teacher thing, and came home to it. How horrible to come home to that. |

| What a horrible site to come home to. I feel so bad for the mother yorkie who lost her pups. Something is not right with the other mother yorkie. I don't think I would want a pup of hers. You never know what is in the genes! I don't think she should be breed again. |

| And I just replied to another post where they said yorkies were overpriced! So much a breeder has to deal with. This is just another example of what they have to deal with. I'm sure the breeder is heart broken, as the mother of the puppies are. |

| Yeah I can't believe it... She contacted the breeder that she got taht particular female from and told her what happened... and her reply to her was: I told you to keep them seperate, better luck next time. Can you believe that!!! How rude is that. She was warned that the female is a bit aggressive, but not to the point of killing the little pups! She is thinking about rehoming her to a family that doesn't have any dogs at all. She's an 8 lber.. so she might be a bit big to be breeding?? I dont know. |
