| I appreciate YorkieTalk for all they have given me.. a laugh on a Friday night when I am stuck at home with nothing to do! On a serious note, I have been on YorkieTalk since February but founded it in January. Ever since then, I have learned so much from everyone and when I have a bad day, I look to YorkieTalk for a laugh! Lenora cracks me up! And right now, Elizabeth is making me almost wet my seat! After a couple more months, I suggest Dan better start a YTA. Yorkie Talk Anonymous. I am just getting way too addicted to this website. You know it's bad when 1. you steal the computer by telling your other half "I just need to check something! It'll be quick!" and end up staying on for hours and 2. he looks right back at you and says "honey, how do you spend so much time on one website laughing to yourself?". All in all, every question that I have had and was answered by everyone.. I appreciate it SO much. You don't know how much it's meant to Fred and I. If it weren't for learning things from YT, Fred would probably be in knots playing with a trash bag instead of a Kong and chewing on books instead of a Greenie! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I AGREE ....My Friday night FLEW ! I've been posting on Forums now for almost 2 YEARS !! I remember the first time here back when Higginsmom and Bettyanne were the most active posters and of course Fast Eddy - and though I didn't post as actively as now...I've always been here to read and enjoyed watching Yorkietalk grow... I can't believe I haven't been bored or ran out of stuff to talk about ! What on earth does this say about me ?...do I just have NO life at all ourside of Yorkies ? ... Seriously though...I'm 46 and living with someone who has a terminal illness and these sites have SAVED my sanity - I can honestly say I don't think I've missed more than 3 days in 2 years without posting/reading about yorkies ! I love reading about everyones yorkies - love seeing their pictures... and not to be showing off or overly proud ...but I LOVE sharing my pictures with you all ! While on Yorkie sites..I can say that I've actually laughed so hard I cried ...and the flip side ...cried with sorrow over someones tragedy or loss... I've found in these last 2 years that there are many truly caring and wonderful humans out there - ....Sometimes in daily life...with the terrible state of the world, and our own problems....we can see too much of life that can bring us down ...coming to sites like this is a great way to escape and share something we truly love.....our yorkies. Edited to add....Thank you for letting me share and read about all your beautiful babies...Happy Mothers Day to ALL of the yorkie moms (& dads) ....and that includes you Fast Eddie - SORRY THIS WAS SO LONG I honestly didn't start trying to write my fist novel here !

| Hi Natalie, I too really enjoy YT. Maggie is our new child of the family. My other two are heelers. She is our first toy child. Without this site, I would have thought that Maggie was the youngest child to be practicing anorexia. I had no idea they could be such fussy eaters. My heelers are like garbage disposals. I am not use to being a Short Order Cook. I have received serveral suggestion and all have worked. That's the deal==ALL has worked. With her it's a new crave each day. This morning her breakfast was a combo of one scrambled egg with cheese, then mixed in 2 tsp. of boiled hamburger meat, then mixed all this together with 1 TBLS. of crushed Iams Puppy food. She woofed that down like a starving pigmy. She then had to go and strut her tummy to daddy. Now she's sound asleep gaining weight on her little fat butt. |

| My feelings exactly!! When we made our committment to Toto [and yes, it was a committment], we thought we were prepared to honor our word to our breeder ... keyword here, thought!! We were desperately terrified of this tiny 1.5 lb. piece of fluff and for a moment thought we were wayyy over our heads! After I discovered YorkieTalk, and even with the handful of members at that time, we learned something new every day! Granted, we don't try everything we learn here, but all people/yorkies/circumstances are different. That's what makes it so great here ... we are all different! This is the first forum that I had ever really participated in and it has been such a blessing for me! The only problem I have with YorkieTalk is I can't keep up anymore!! If that's the only problem I have, then "life is good"!!!

| I LOVE YT. I do read and post on other sites but this is one I come to daily. I have been owned by Yorkies for over 20 years but worked as a nurse, frequently holding down 2 jobs. In 1993 I fell and broke vertebrae. Had my first unsuccessful surgery in winter of '94. Since then, I have had more surgeries than I can keep track of. I decided I wanted to breed Yorkies after I was declared fully disabled. Problem was, I NEVER LOST MY NURSING INSTINCTS and my Yorkies/Biewers/partis are the reason I can and do get up many days.I found YorkieRose quite by accident and asked her to help me learn and to mentor me. Not many people who are or were in the show ring will bother with a novice who will never be able to show. She took me under her wing( and, yes, under her wing is appropriate cause she has been my YORKIE ANGEL) and there have been bumps in the road as I have had to spend so much time on health issues. But, not one day goes by that I don't thank God for the people I have met thru these tiny beings we lovingly call "Yorkies". So, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL WHOSE LIVE HAVE BEEN FOREVER CHANGED BY A BIT OF FLUFF ON 4 LEGS--ourYorkie kids--RINI aka Whispersmom |

From all of the stories, pictures, and threads I have read, have a GREAT MOTHER'S DAY to all the Yorkie Moms out there tomorrow. I have never seen so many people care so much about their pets, as I really never see that at all when I see dogs out with their owners out in public around here. So I really do appreciate Yorkie Moms and know just how special they are. For the most part, everyone does realize YorkieTalk is for and about Yorkies. Personality conflicts can arise and spirited debate is welcome, but just remember that the whole purpose of being here is to share and learn more about our wonderful world of Yorkies! And I have to admit I'm just a little bit addicted to seeing new pictures of Yorkies... | |

| What I appreciate most about YT is the diversity that exists and the friendships that are made around the country and the world!! We are all united by our love for this little dog!! What a wonderful thing. YT in particular is extraordinary because the admin has developed it in such a way that it has gotten better with growth and yet remains friendly and "homey feeling" if that makes sense. I feel like I know the "regulars" so well and I am vested in the lives and their dog's lives. With few exceptions, who are easily overlooked, everyone is so open minded, honest and truly caring. It's wonderful. New members are truly welcomed with open arms and made to feel a part of things right away instead of ridiculed or made to feel badly. Finally, of course the wealth of experience and knowledge on this forum is priceless. I think the people on here know more than most vets, at least the vets I have met. This forum has saved lives and will continue to save lives. The numbers we are able to educate and organize against those that would abuse the animals we love is huge! Thank Yorkie Talk for everything you have given me!! |

| Wow there really isn't much I can say, its all been said! I love this site so much and like everyone else I get withdrawal symptoms if I am away for too long lol! Seriously though I just find it so wonderful to be involved in an environment where there are so many people who love yorkies as much as I do. Everyone at home thinks Im mad the way I go on about Lucy (and now they think Im even more mad how I go on about YT) I think that putting my tooth through my lip was a blessing in disguse as I had dissolvable stitches that just wouldn't go! I did a google search on dissolvable stitches and this was one of the sites that came up! Coinsidence? I think not!!!! lol Would just like to say that everyone on here is wonderful and thanks for all of the advice I have got! I may not post as much as some, but Im always here ready to learn what I can! |
