| Mojo getting NEUTERED!!!! Okay, so most of you know that Mojo will be getting neutered on Monday!!! Right before Thanksgiving!!!! - boy, I didn't plan that well, did I??? Well, there is no turning back.....if I reschedule....it will be another year before I get the nerve up to do it again!!! Seriously though....I am not really nervous......we really LOVE and TRUST our vet. She even said that I could stay in the room and watch him!!! Has anyone done this or had the opportunity to? I think I will pass....because I can barely stand to clip his nails.....let alone to watch him get cut on his, er, uh, you know what!!! He is getting dropped off around 9am and I get to bring him home at 3:30!!! YAY! She said that she would do her best cosmetic neuter EVER.....HA! She gave me several "stitch" options....one w/ glue where you can't tell anything was ever done, but she said that this bothers dogs and in most cases, they mess it up - I guess the glue healing causes it to itch a lot or something??? What has everyone else had done? They will clean his teeth (of course) and whatever else I want done....is there anything else that is needed while he is "out"??? I was toying w/ the idea of doing the microchip....but I just don't know...what is the word on that?? Any pros/cons...thoughts??!!! We are grooming him on Saturday since he won't be able to have a full bath for awhile after this is done. Can you think of anything else we need to think of, do, remind the vet, etc?? Oh, did you all read my other post where I talked about the Nauticles??? (sp)....the fake, er, you know, uh, testies??? The vet said she would order me some.....$1000!!! For those fake marbles.....I think not! He will still be our little manly stud, no matter what!!!

| Jeter had stitches and did great. The one piece of advice that I would like to pass along to you is to get a couple baby onesies. They were the BEST. They kept Jeter from messing with his stitches at all. And as an added bonus, Mojo will look absolutely adorable. ( not that he doesn't look adorable without a onesie). Jeter was kinda poopy for about a day, and then back to his old self. Here is Jeter in his onesie post-neuter. |

| That is neat! I know Chewy will be okay. You know, I was really nervous at the first thought of Mojo actually having the appt., but the more I talked w/ the vet and the more I realized that I really trusted her, I am okay w/ it. Now, I know I will be a nervous wreck waiting for the call to come and get him on Monday, but I know he will do good and is in good hands. Now, the new vet asst. I don't know about. She is young and doesn't really do anything but work the the front desk and shadow the doctor.....well, on Monday (this past Monday), whe weighed Mojo and said that he was 7.14lbs!!! I couldn't believe it! So, when the doctor came in, I asked about his weight....she said there was NO WAY he weighed that much and re-weighed him herself....yep.....that was WAY off.......he ws only 5.4lbs! WHEW! Now, that was a big difference and she knew I wasn't too impressed w/ that asst. Luckily, there are two good ones that have been w/ her for a long time.......YAY! Good luck and we will chat on Monday!

| I'm sure Mojo will do great! The hardest thing I found with getting Jaxon neutered was the cone he had to wear afterwards. They said to keep in on for a few days but I took it off him - he couldn't get comfortable to rest. He was really good about leaving his stitches alone and seemed his usual self after 2 days.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | He'll be fine!!!! Bengi was neutered a month ago and he did just great. I know, I was freaking out too! When I brought him home he was sleepy and weak for a day and a half. Then back to normal! He was just little old Bengi!!!! |

| I second the onesies idea I put them on Starr after her spaying and they're so cute and the stitches are covered. I'd be wary of the glue. If he has an allergic reaction to it, he'll be miserable It will itch for a long time. I wonder if there is some kind of test they could do (like put a little glue on him somewhere) to rule out an allergy before putting it on surgical incision? Anway, I know that he'll do great and you'll spoil him rotten after

| I am in the same boat or should I say Peanut is, he is getting neutered tomorrow and I am a nervous reck. I am going to have him microchipped while he is under and I am going to have the vet check out the baby teeth he is starting with the double canines. I have to drop him off at 8:30am what a mess I will be. I hate for him to feel any pain or to be scared he is my baby! I will pray for both of your boys that thing will be good for them on Monday. |

Jen, I am sure Mojo will be back to his usual self in no time. It sure is wrong timing though although they recover pretty fast and since there is no other dog to play with, he will get lots of undisturbed rest | |

| My baby is getting neutered tomorrow, too - and today was Tucker's surgery (my boyfriend's mother's yorkie - Teddy's half-brother). I'm nervous but haven't been given the different options yet. I'm assuming they'll fill me in when I bring him in tomorrow morning ... I trust our vet but am still on pins and needles!
