| Nightmares..?? About 3 or 4 nights a week my little one starts squealing, barking and yapping. Im sure its nightmares but it happens often. I have to pet her say her name and sometimes pick her up to fully wake her, or she will doing it!! Is this normal? she lives life like a little princess so i dont know what could be scaring her! |

| dogs can have dreams just like us i have seen them whimper whine and "run" in their sleep. maybe they are chasing something in their little heads who knows.

| This is sad - if she's doing it often. I think you are doing the right thing - just gently pet her or hold her and help her wake up. If this continues to happen - often - and you really believe she is having "nightmares" and not just dreams - you might want to try and find out how you can keep this from happening.
