| Why?! I just got a phone call form my mother's cousin and said that my older cousin was kidnapped about three weeks about. But they found her. See my cousin lives in Cleveland,OH and her mothers works all the time so she takes a city bus to school.Well she said that she met with a two older guys at the bus stop everyone day and got to know them well. She trusted them so much that they asked her if they could drive her to school and she accepted. They of course they lied and drove her out of state into I think it was North Carolina. They took her to their home and ... raped her . For three weeks they raped and beated her. My cousin found out that there was a girl who happened to kidnapped and raped by the same men. But she luckily escaped but got pregagnt(sp). My cousin tried to escape but they caught her and beat her. Then they took her to store with them and left her in the car with that child protection thing on. A woman saw her and noticed from a Missing Poster in the store. Luckily that lady was those men next door neighbor. She called the police and my family. Thank God. The men were arrested and will be going to trial. I am so happy. I hate it when people do that. It makes me sick. I have been crying since their moment her mother told me. Everyone has to watch out for their children. Especially in crowded places. It like one mintues you turn around to get something and the next your child is gone. Especially the young ones. There are a lot of sick people out there.

| I am so sorry for whats happened to your cousin. I have a four year old daughter and this is my biggest fear. This type of thing keeps happening over and over to children here lately. I hope the laws get more tougher on these types of crimes. In alot of states they are putting Gps bracelets on sex offenders when they are released and keeping track of them. I hope they do this in all states. They say a child sex offender cannot be rehabilitated and thats what makes these people so dangerous to society.

| Yes! I know. When I was younger. My friend and I were walking form my mother's and her mother's work since the building was like 30 ft from where the school. It was raining and then a car pulled up and a man rolled down the window. And asked us if we wanted a ride and I said no thank and began to walk. But my friend was about to get in the car but I stopped her and pulled her behind me and said no thank. He smiled and drove off. We ran back my mom's job and got the sericity(sp) guard. Luckily I remember the licsense plate. They called police and I gave them all the info I got. We found out he was a sex offender who lived in the commuity behind my school. Actually there were about 6 or 7 sex offenders behind my school. My mother was a website on it.

| It is crazy how many sick people there are in this world. I have seen it happen so many times that it makes me ill. I worry so much about it becasue it seems that our children will never be really safe at any age, there is always some predator out there. I recently found out that within 3 miles of my hoe I have over 50 sex offenders, 2 of which actully live on my street. So now we take huge precautions about it, my kids are not aloowed out front unless we are out there to, They can never go into someones home without our permission, and at dusk no matter what it is inside they go. With all the little girls that go missing weekly, I dont want to take a chance. I guess that is part of the reson I am a stay at home mommy to.

| Marlee I am in the same boat. We found out theres about 15 sex offenders in our area. My daughter is only alowed to go in our back yard that is privacy fenced. There are so many children in our area that just run the streets. I jaust don't understand how the parents can let them do it and not be afraid of something happening.

| Very true. I truly don't understand. Some parents...letting their kids out of the house going whatever they want. Girl at my school get parents everyday and guess what I am in jr. high. My friend who is in 6th grade got pregnant from a 11th grader. I truly understand parnets trust their children. I mean if I had children I would of course trust them but not even to go around at all hours of the night with the friends. Doing anything without the parent knowing. My parents keep in the house and won't let me going anywhere without a trusted friend or a trusted adult. If my parents don't know that child's parents then I can't go. But I understand why my parents do it. I mean all parents want their child to be safe and sound.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin - she is going to be haunted by this for the rest of her life.... The bad thing is - Sex Offenders that are registered are only the ones they've CAUGHT and convicted - theres far more out there NOT caught ...it's your average Joe who no one ever suspects - Please everyone ....kids and you moms & single women too- BE CAREFUL...these guys target anyone looking vunerable - The best thing we can teach our children is to always expect the worst with a stranger - it's a bad way to look at life but it's forced on us these days... (I hope your cousin gets lots of support - she's never going to be able to escape the visions in her head but she can move forward with the right help and love |
