| Not breeding my yorkie, but buying another Hi everyone, I am back to let you all know that I was expecting to buy a little yorkie for my Chiquita. As you know I decided no way for breeding her so I got in touch with her breeder and was shocked to find out Chiquita's parents have given birth again (one year since I got Chiquita). Chiquita's birth mother just gave birth 2 weeks ago to, two little boys. Both boys are small and gorgeous. I have put a deposit down for the little boy of my choice. CONGRATULATIONS---his name will be Jackson. I have one question. Most breeders in Toronto, Ontario won't let you take your puppy home before 8 to 12 weeks old. This breeder mentioned to me that I can take my puppy home earlier if I want. (Around 6 to 7weeks old). What do you guys think about bringing Jackson home that early. I have never got a puppy before 8 weeks old, would this be a no no or should I think about it? Even though I have had two other yorkies before Chiquita, I am stumped. I am seeing Jackson at the end of this month and he will be 6weeks old, this breeder is very reliable and has great puppies, should I trust her or wait till Jackson is 8weeks old? Help Me Troie: |

| You are taking a big risk at that age, reputable breeders do not let theirs go until 12 weeks. Best of luck to you and your new addition. Debbie Ray www.sumtoiyorkies.com |

| Congrats on your new little boy. I personally wouldn't take the risk of bringing a puppy home before 8 weeks old and only then if he is a larger puppy. If you do bring him home early, make sure you have Nutrical on hand and give it frequently!!!

| I would wait a little longer, I love the motto "All great things come in time" Even though a lot of us think me just might die having to wait you are showing that you love your baby even more by giving them more time with mommy and to help them get bigger and stronger which could make the difference later on in life! It is as always your decision, and good luck with your new baby!
