| omg I hope kizzy didnt eat a frog tonight, could that be bad? she was outside after dark with the flood lights on but she was almost out of view into the dimmer lite area. hubby was taking out the garbage, i walked out on the deck with him to get the dogs to come inside and kizzy had something on the ground like she was trying to catch it and was pawing and jumping around in a minute i saw something, but i really dont have a clue what it could of been since it looked dark colored. but i know she caught it in a min and she ate it before hubby could get over there to see what she was trying to eat. it looked dark from where we could see and about the size of a frog and that is the only think i could think of that it might of been. i remember reading some post on here once about a dog eating a frog and i was thinking they said it could kill a dog or did kill one or made it very sick. does anyone know anything about what could happen to one that eats a frog? It was just a few minutes ago and she is acting fine. just running and playing with maggie and their toys now.i just wondering what kind of signs to watch for since i dont have a clue what it was but she did eat something then started running all around sniffing the ground like she was smelling or looking for another one. please someone answer this ASAP if you know anything about dogs eating frogs.

| If it was a toad, it could cause problems if she had it in her mouth. You will know cause she will foam. Will most likely cause diarrhea and/or vomiting. Watch for this and dehydration......

| thanks for alls in puts. she was chasing it while hubby was outside the fence on different side of the house. i saw she was trying to get something and ignoring me calling her. finally she suddenly grabbed it off the ground and started chewing it but I had seen enough to know it was something pretty big. time hubby got around and inside the fence on the one side of the yard and got to her across the yard she was finishing and swallowed it. she then started running more or in circles with her head on the ground like a mad dog like there was something else to catch, the finally i got her in the house and she was in one of those wild running playing spells with maggie and a toy. now she is asleep and nothing seems wrong. but it was awful big to be any kind of bug ive ever seeen. i guess she is ok. guess i'll know by tomorrow if she gets sick or not. thanks all.
