| Am I a Trader??? Yesterday, my family of two human and 5 babies went and got our picture hoto: taken for our Xmas card..Boy was that something.. But, while I was waiting a I saw the most beautiful Maltese. She was large about 10 pounds..I want one real bad... I told my yorkie babies.. I will always love them: but, wouldn't they love another sister?? I kinda feel like a trader.. BUT..I CAN NOT HELP MYSELF.. already have her name..DOLLY Are Maltese are to potty train like my babies now.. I also saw a Little cute bull dog name Savor.. I ask how he came up with this name..He said he rescued him when he was a 1yr ..because he was deaf and the owners where going to drown him because he was not perfect for breeding.. Thank God for us here that love our babies no matter what!!

| I had a maltese and found her a home earlier this year. She was a year old and would not housetrain for nothing! (Actually she was house trained, she would only do her business in the house and not on the pee pads if you know what I mean. lol) She was a cutie but she was nothing compared to my yorkie. She had a mind of her own. She would escape the yard and then run as fast as she could from me. She would jump in the middle of the table while we were eating and steal food off of my plate. She was a mess. And I could blame it on no training but I took her to training classes and she went for 12 wks. and it was a 6wk class. She never did graduate. I loved her but am glad she has another home now. I don't know if all maltese are like this but mine was.

| I had a maltese as a kid and she was super sweet! She slept with me evrey night, was potty trained and knew lots of tricks (as long you were holding something yummy lol) She never ran away, she didnt even like going on walks that much, she would NEVER touch grass unless it was trimmed and not wet lol i have to admit, she was a lil diva that one. She LOVED being groomed, ive never met another dog like that, if you took out a brush (wether it was your or hers) she would pester you until youd brush her all over and re-do her bow. I really miss her she died of cancer. |

| I think all pups are cute, but i just have to remind myself that they grow up! My kids were even trying to get me to take home a rottweiler puppy that had been abandoned in the vets and yes she was super cute but will grow up! Im hooked on yorkies as when they grow up they are still super cute!

| I'm not thrilled with the runny eyes maltese get.... I saw on last week where there was this redish brown stuff all over the poor babies face! it looked sick to me. The owner had 3 of them but I couldn't help but think they could have been groomed better!

| Misha was so easy to train & very smart. Much smarter than Piper which is a maltese & yorkie. I thought that Piper has taken longer to do everything because of the yorkie in her. They are both so different, Misha is more layed back as to where Piper is hyper. Piper took for ever to potty break as to Misha was by 4 months. Piper loves to jump all the time, Misha is miss priss and well behaved. They are both very loving & possessive of me. I was thinking of getting a full yorkie next, if the hubby says ok. I would also have no problem getting another maltese either. I love both. |

| Your not a trader, I have a yorkie/maltese that I would not take a million for...Peanut is the best, I guess alot of the yorkie or maltese has to do with their on little personality...Peanut was house trained fast and easier than my other yorkies, but they are all good....

| "Weight under 7 pounds, with from 4 to 6 pounds preferred. Overall quality is to be favored over size" - the AKC standard for size on a Maltese. |

| Oh, and on the shedding tip, I'd compare them to a well bred Yorkie. With a proper coat, no not really. With a not so good coat for the breed then sure, a little anyway, just because they actually have some undercoat to them. |
