| Help..... Last week I started changing Kitty's food from Royal Canin to Chicken soup. She hasn't really been acting like herself. She has been sleeping alot. We had a long weekend last weekend and went out of town. I figured she was just tired from that. Then on Wednesday I got a new pup and figured she might just be sulking from that. The pup went to the vet and got a clean bill of health. That evening she was sick. (Throwing up.) I figured she was sick from the long car ride. Puppy had done nothing but cry since I got her. Now last night Kitty started throwing up. I just don't know what to think. Kitty is not running a temp. If anything it is low. (99.9) The puppy threw up yesterday too. My vet isn't open today so I just don't know what to do. Maybe it is the new food? I've never really had sucess with Chicken soup before. What do you all think? Also it is possiable that Kitty might have gotten some of the kids trick-or-treating candy but that doesn't explain the puppy. What do you all think? I am diffently going to take them to the vet on Monday. Should I throw the food out and give them something else?

| Kitty and the pup have both kept food down today. Kitty even played ball for a little bit. I'm still not sure why they are acting like this but I hope it has passed now.

| ave you tried giving cooked chicken and rice? That is easy on the stomach. I hope they both get better, and it's nothing serious. Could she have caught something when you had her out of town? Was she around any other dogs? Did you stop at any interstate rest areas? Those places are horriblef for dogs, they can pick up any number of diseases. |

She wasn't around any other dogs except my other ones. I didn't stop at and rest stops. I made sure to only take her to my dads house. She is completely vaccinated so I don't think she caught anything. It doesn't explain why the new pup is doing the same thing. I got her after we were back in town. I transitioned the food a little at a time until it was completely new food. I really don't like the Chicken Soup dog food. Everytime I try it, I have problems with it. I was in a pinch so I got it again. I knew better. I'm afraid to switch her back to the other though until she is feeling 100% better.

| I made the chicken and rice and neither one would touch it. They wanted the dog food so I let them eat that. Both have kept it down today. Yes the puppy is still crying but not as much. She seems to be sleeping more which is good since that is what pups do. She is very energetic when she's not sleeping.

| Maybe they were both just a bit stressed out. Try backing off on the food switch over, and like the others said, a bland diet for a couple of days might not hurt. I discovered that Gracie loves some extra lean ground turkey, cooked, stirred up with a bit of rice and chicken baby food.

| Cooked hamburger and rice is great on an upset tummy. I would also give Nutri-cal or Nutri-stat to keep thier sugars up. I hope they feel better soon!
