| PLEASE READ, this could help your baby! Coco's been sick today, throwing up blood, and bloody stools. I took her to the vet and they think it might be a bacterial infection from her bones. The vet said to make sure within a couple of days you are throwing out the bully sticks, flossies, nyla bones, budha bones, etc. They collect bacteria as they are dragged around and munched on. Trust me, $300 later, I threw them all away and washed all of her toys. PLEASE PLEASE throw out old chew bones, and wash their toys, they CAN AND WILL get sick from the bacteria. My vet took a blood test to make sure it's nothing more serious and will get back to me tonight. But until then I am spreading the word on this.

| Makes sense!! Thanks for the warning, i'll be bleaching and washing down all their toys tomorrow.... Chanel has LOTS of nylabones, she will have to part with some, i put their fur toys in the washing machine often, and they clean, but they do drag them around over the floor, people walk in and out I would rather buy her a new load of nylabones then have her get sick!! Hope your baby get's better soon!!!

| I always throw out her bones within days but she's so sneeky, I guess she snuck them into her crate I don't like to see them all yucked up but she had some hidden, the little monkey I take her rubbery toys and put them in water with a cap full of bleach only. Leave them in there for a few minutes then rinse them off and her other toys I put in the gentle cycle. She's looking at me like WHY ARE YOU TAKING MY TOYS MOM!!! She's running around in circles playing so I guess she doesn't realize that she's sick so that's good I work at Clorox headquarters and we do have a new product called Clorox Anywhere Hard Surface Sanitizing Spray. It is safe to use around children and pets. It's so gentle they told us we can spray it into our mouths (which is not recommended) and it just tastes like pool water, but it sanitizes. YES I tried it and it did taste like pool water.

| Thanks! Their toys are plush - which I do wash. But they also have a few balls, that do get slimmy, so I will wash them down too. WOW, the flossies concern me, but I believe it! When I first started to buy the flossies, I would collect them at the end of the day and put them in a baggie. I was always afraid to leave Roxy and TJ home alone with the flossies, so they could be in the baggie for a few days...then I started to see fuzz/mold growing on them so I threw them away. Now, when the are done chewing on them I cut off those gross chewed ends. Sometime I even wash them and lie them on a plate to dry. BUT WOW - how scarey! Feel better soon Coco! |
