| Big new problem! Well, this is the second time now that I have taken these guys for a walk and Bella BARKS the whole time! She never did this before...this is something new now. I only got halfway up the street today and said "forget it" and came back home. Any suggestions? Thanks

| When she starts to bark clap your hands together and tell her hush. Mine used to bark on walks and I did this and continued taking them out on walks and they quit the barking

| Thanks all for your replies....I cant really clap my hands hard when I have them on the leash...and Im certainly not coordinated to carry a can of coins with me...lol...I have all I can do to hold on to them and be ready to pick them up if the "beast" from up the street comes around lol.....I do use the slapping of the newspaper in the house for the barking and it works but Im really at a loss for this one because my hands really arent that free...hmmmmmmmm

| Is she on a harness or collar? When my dogs start pulling or barking..I give a QUICK but sharp snap on the leash, I find the trick is making sure you time it right!! As soon as she starts to let out a bark...SNAP..and then a sound to go along with it. Like shhh!! Soon enough you wont need to snap the leash just the sound if you coordinate it right...I also wrap the leash around my hand so they are walking beside me at all times..not in front of me...IM THE LEADER OF THE PACK..hehe..Cesar Milan IS a GOD!! If you can watch a few of his episodes on this issue, in no time you will have the perfect little walking companion! Dawn |
