The best thing that you can do right now is try not to panic or at least dont let Max know that you are. When Diezle went thru this the Vet told me as long as I was acting sad and afraid so would he. And also try not to pre-diagnose him to much until you know more. Diezel stopped eating drinking playign would hardly sleep did nothing but shake and stare at me for almost a week. After extensive testing they found out that he does has a mild liver shunt (and was constipated and had gas). Fortunatley his shunt is so mild it is not even treatable. The worst thing you can do is think about as hard as that might be. I know the feeling (and im sure im not alone) when you sit there and think abot the the future if he is not the same, or gone. And it is a gut wrenching pain that is worse then anything I have ever felt before. The best thing you can do is try to relax until your Vet tells you exactly what is wrong. I wish I had more to tell you about what happens after the surgery but I do not. I am sure one of the fabulous YT members will be able to help you. Me and Diezel will say a prayer for Max | |
