| CKC Pedigree?? Holly has a pedigree and I have read it over...interesting!! Now it came with another paper which had her litter reg. number and her parents reg. number..can I have Holly reg. individually or is she already? Does she have a call name or do I give her one?? It doesnt matter if I do or if I dont as she will never be a show dog lol..but since I have papers I want to do something with them lol... Its neat to see her lineage...and see that she has some american relatives too!! Dawn |

| I think you still need to register her...I had to register mine with his full name that I chose. I did it on line and got back his stuff in the mail in a week or less...I think. Check for a website and it will tell you how to do it...on line or by mail.

| Hmmm...hard to tell without seeing what exactly it is that you have.... I would think you would still need to fill out the paperwork and register her. I have never heard of a breeder doing it first, then selling you the pup... |

| when i got harley (which is also ckc) my breeder gave me the paperwork to fill out and send in. it already had all the parents info on it, so i filled it out with harley's name and my info and mailed it off.

| You didn't get Holly from a breeder though right, wasn't she from a pet home and lived there for a while? her mom may not have registered her yet though, Her "call name" is Holly, or whatever you want to call her. If she's not registered, you then need to fill out her AKC name on the paperwork, it can be the same if you like. Most people do it differently, having official AKC name and then a "call name" HTH |

| I am not sure what you have without seeing it. If you want you can send a photocopy of the paper you have to the CKC and ask them how to register your dog. They will reply, written often is best to get a reply, and tell you what to do. You can send your request to Canadian Kennel Club 89 Skyway Ave Suite 100 Etobicoke, Ontario M9W 6R4 |

| Right on!! Thank you so much!! The paper I have is a long piece of paper with a family tree type set up...im not sure how many generations it goes back. I should contact the original breeder and talk to her I suppose. Thank you so much Lorraine!! Neat that the CKC is right her in Ontario.. Dawn |

| In Canada , a new owner don't have to pay for a registration certificate . I always register my pups before they go to their new homes . when a puppy goes to his new home , I just have to sign the transfer of ownership . Could you show what paper you are referring to ? |
