| Okay, I don't know about the nail thing. Your best bet would be to clip the nails and see if that helps. I let my dogs eat as much as they want in a day. I just leave food out at all times. For the red in the stool. I would check next time he goes and if there is red in it again I would take a sample in to the vet. He may be sick and that might be why he is acting depressed. Best of luck

| I know that when they were babies first coming home, their nails would get caught in the carpet and so I always make sure they are trimmed down PLUS long nails can cause them pain too so you should clip them but be careful because if you clip them too short, they will bleed so you should have some syptic power (I dont know if I spelled that right) on hand as that will stop the bleeding on contact. Blood in the stool- take a sample to the vet and have them run tests to make sure he is okay. You don't want to mess with that - it may be nothing but if there is something wrong and as little as your baby is, its important to get it treated right away. Good luck. |

| Well... The red tinged, slimy stool is a great indicator of worms. Definately take a stool sample to your Vet. Keeping the nails trimmed is also important. Good Luck, Teri
