| Silky? I've had a few people ask me recently if my pup is a Silky (Terrier that is? ). He has silver hair growing all over but the face and legs, those are light tan. There are silver Yorkies out there aren't there... He has papers and they state Yorkie though, but what are Silkies? I'm sorry if the question sounds a lil dumb, I'm still learning...

| My Teddy's daddy was quite silver and Teddy's hair is definately turning silver on his head. I thought it was gorgeous on his dad. Don't know how common or uncommon it is but I like it. My kids keep calling him the little old man "because his hair is turning gray" lol Kim and the little old man |

| It is not a dumb question at all. We had a fun contest not too long ago to see if we knew the difference between the 2. (yorkie v silky) And to be honest most of us could not tell the difference. From my understanding the Silky is a bit larger, longer body and a bit of a longer snout. Still every beautiful and looks like a yorkie to me. Here is a good site that I found. It may answer some question you may have about the difference. http://www.agt.net/public/silkyd/breeddifferences.htm
