| Puppy afraid of clothes! Our Yorkie puppy is almost four months old and is really afraid when you put clothes on her. She won't play, will hardly move and just wants to sit in your lap! Is this a common problem until they get used to wearing them? |

| She is probably not afraid of them but they are uncomfortable. Loki has a certain sweatshirt he will not move in. Do they fit right? Is she too warm? It also took Loki a while to get used to his winter coat. I just try to only put clothes on him when it's really cold.

| Well so far we have tried a soft cotton tshirt, a dress and a polo type shirt and she acts the same in all of them! We are also having the same problem with a collar. She's really active when she doesn't have anything around her neck or on her, but is like a statue when she does! |

| Try putting the collar on her and then standing on the other side of the room with a really good stinky treat. She'll figure it out

| Awww, poor little girl. Roxy is like that with certain things. Her long-johns are soft and cozy and when she 1st puts them on at nite, all she wants to do is cuddle and be held(that in NOT like her). But the next am she will run around outside with them on and chase leaves, whatever. She has a denim coat that is still stiff and she freezes in that. You can even put her hind legs up in the air and she won't move. But all we have to do is say let's go for a walk and show her her harness, and she won't stop moving. So, try distracting her long enough for her to realize she isn't being punished and that she can still move in her clothes. I'm sure she will be fine in time.

| We try and get her to move around by playing with her toys, but so far no luck! We will try the treat suggestion and hopefully that will help! She loves to chase after our Yorkie Poo and drive her crazy, but she won't do that with the clothes on either! Thanks! |

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | She probably just isn't used to them. Stedman does this with his hoody. He doesn't like having ANYTHING on his head, so when I put the hoody on him, he is fine until he looks down and the hoody falls down on the top of his head and then he just FREEZES - won't move an inch lol. I'm sure she just needs time adjusting to having clothes on if they are new for her - she just isn't used to having something on her little body

| Thanks for the encouragement! That's what I needed to hear! With winter coming, we really would like to put sweaters on her, but we were beginning to think we were being cruel and scaring her! I guess it will just take time, she's not quite four months old! |

| I don't know bout clothes, but they will get used to collars. The one my baby sis gave me for Venus, finally fit the day before yesterday. Two fingers under the collar, fit fine, right? She kept trying to bite the rabies tag on it, but has quit. I left it on her. She's ok with it now. I remember Adonis doing the same thing. |
