I asked the vet and he said that Rex will most likely be 13-14 lbs!!! GRRRR! the lady i bought him from told me he would be 7-8 lbs at full growth! oh well i wonuldn't trade him in for anything, especially being a little "big" How about u? hoew much does ur baby weigh?? Do Maltese's usually weigh this much?? is this a Maltese trait to weigh so much?? |

| Your story sounds like my story with Bentley. He was supposed to be 5 to 7 lbs and he weighs 12 pounds. Proably about two pound overweight but still. THere is no way in the world that we could love him any more if he were smaller There is something about the fact that he got 12 pounds that makes me love him in a way that I can't even explain. When I look at him, all I see is a puppy that has given me the most uncondtional love! He will always be a baby to me

| Because of how Tristan looks and his size, I've started calling him Andrew (around my parents, not him, because he might get confused) because he looks like the dog from Mary Poppins! |

That is GREAT! Andrew is my son's name He was a biggin' when he was born - 10lbs 10 oz! My mix, Sandy is 14 lbs, and Tia (5 months) just topped the scales at 4 lbs 2 oz! You would NEVER think there was such a difference between just 10 pounds, but it really is amazing!

| That's how I was when I brought Leila home. I saw the parents, I saw the AKC paperwork, they assured me, 5-7 lbs... My little moose weighs 11.5 lbs and not a bit of fat on her! I used to yell at her "QUIT GROWING!!!!" LOL. I feel bad sometimes because people will see me with the two girls and they always assume that Leila is "the male" because she is bigger... Hello, does the pink barrette in her hair and the hot pink Coach collar mean nothing??? What about the hot pink rhinestones I adhered to her pink heart shaped ID tag? Hee hee! |
