Chicken Soup Food, runny stool question My 1 yr old Cookie still eats wetfood and rarely goes near dryfood. I tried Chicken Soup dry food. I just noticed that everytime that I add some of this dry food his stool is runny and by the second or third day its really mushy. His stool is usually firm that I can just pick it up with a napkin off his pee pad. Has anyone had a similiar problem? If I just give him the wet food his stool is firm after 1 day. Mimi is still on wetfood since she is only 4 months old. I have added a little kibble to her food and have noticed the same results a runny stool! She never poops in her kennel during the night. But when I give her the chicken soup kibble . I used to think that she was just a little piggy and it didnt bother her where she pooped. In fact she could not control it and would have to relieve herself in the kennel during the night .Once I stopped feeding her the Chicken Soup dryfood ,she never did it again. She was pooping at least 10 times or more a day! Now she only goes like 2 times a day. Anyone go through this? I never really noticed until it happened several times Genie www.littlemimi.org

It sounds like the Chicken Soup dry food upsets little Cookie's stomach. I think the best bet would be to avoid that food from now on, if it's consistently happening with that food only. Runny stools usually happen when something they ate is upsetting their stomach, from my experience.

I know many people that feed their dogs this food including myself. I have never had a problem or heard of a problem with it. But obviously there is something in it that her system doesn't agree with. You could try other brands and formulas to see if you can pin point the ingredient.
