My furkids Donating Member | Yup! Lillie has some white on her chest...I have read in a yorkie book that the white or silver will turn gold...Sadie(my adult yorkie) was only black and tan...she turned out to have a beautiful (gold) color face, head and legs her body stayed black...Lillie has a totally different coat than Sadie...Lillie's hair was longer than Sadies (at the same age) and when I picked her up, at 8 weeks old, she was already starting to change color...The top of her little head is silver and you can see the silver at the roots of the hair on her back...

| Oh GREAT that is good to know, I knew he was a REAL Yorkie, but I have never ever seen any WHITE on them before. That is a relief, just as I posted this question, I saw another thread about the same thing, it seems quite a few people have White on thier babies. Have a good Sunday. Best Wishes Diana |

| Yep My neighbor has a yorkie (110% purebred) that she purchased four months ago as a puppy and he now has a little "white" tuff of hair on his chest. I bought my yorkie when he was six months and he does not have any white. |

| The white hairs are normal and are "usually a sign of a great coat grower" - from Gordan and Bennett owners of Wildweir. T. |
