| Yeah, I basically balled my eyes out!! I went to PetBarn today with my brother to pick up some treats for Oliver for his birthday (he'll be 1 on November 1st!!!) And in the back of the store they had a bunch of new puppies. I don't think I would ever buy a puppy from a petstore (no offense to people who have, but after reading everything on YT I just don't think I should) but there was a litter for 4 yorkies!!!!! In all honesty, they looked like larger, very light colored, cottony coated yorkies. BUT this one was just sitting there staring at me and putting its nose to the glass window. It was so amazingly sad. I wanted to scoop him up and take him home RIGHT THEN! Tugged at my heartstrings all the way home.

| I hate that. i hate petshops, i really do. but the puppies didnt ask to be there, dont they deserve love 2? thats what really kills me. i can never even walk by a petstore. atleast yorkie's have a chance, i hate seeing the large breed puppies (labs ect..) sitting there in small cages. |

| That's so sad, that would be hard for me to walk away to (if I went into pet stores) I hope they find a good home.

You are right...they do need love but, 9 times out of 10 they come from puppy mills and you can end up with a very sick little guy or girl...very sad. I wish they would stop the sale of animals in pet stores it would probably not stop puppy mills but, might slow them down.

| I always visit my local mall petstore. It is very HARD not to bring one home. I always go 'scope' the place out. Never would purchase anything there though............I don't support that place.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I HATE seeing that too... it's like they're doomed in JAIL and all they did was get born - only because SOME A*****e wanted to make a buck off the backs of breeding females - It's just horrible and the whole industry needs way better regulation so that isn't such a NORMAL thing to see in the pet stores....cause it's NOT normal to lock up a dog 24/7 with no human contact I can't even go into a pet store now - the last one I was in almost 4 years ago (Pet Land) -I was asked to leave...and now that I know even MORE about Pet Land and evil Hunte Corp... I would probably get arrested. |

| I have never seen a petstore in the area that has sold puppies or kittens, but almost every one has a Humane Society station where they bring in animals for adoption and showcase them there. I'm totally in favor of that. |

| I have to go weekly to the petstore to pick up live food for my sons dragon...of course I have to look at the pups..this week there are yorkie-poos..they look more like I have no clue..but nothing like a yorkie and I would say about 4-5 pounds already???? Just post a title on there and hope they sell?? Cause I am 99 percent sure these 9 week old pups ARE NOT yorkiepoos..Sad!! Dawn |

| Chewy came from a pet shop... He's healthy and he is our little guy around here... He's potty trained, sleeps through the night, is AKC, and loving as can be... not all pet shop dogs are sick... they all need love though... I don't like puppy mills, but until they are shut down they will continue to sell puppies... and these puppies need homes... i would buy from a pet shop again if I thougth the puppy was healthy, and would be a good fit in my home.

Donating YT 14K Club Member | That would have been hard to walk away from but you did the right thing. Those poor babies! I don't think ANY petstore should be allowed to sell dogs or cats.

| Where would the dogs go if they didn't sell them? As long as there are puppy mills there will be people buying them. Shut the puppy Mills down first, then there won't be any puppies to sell. I hate the thought of where my poor baby came from but I am so glad to have him, and wouldn't trade him for the world...

| Thank you for the nice comments... it does hurt when people talk badly about pet shop pups like they ALL are sick or ill behaved. There are exceptions. I know he may get sick down the road but I am hopeing for the best. there is a saying that I really love... Better to have loved and lost then to never to have loved at all... I hope I dont ever have to deal with chewy being sick but I love him no matter what.
