| Roxy loves to fetch, but she plays sneaky. She will bring back what I throw, lay it at my feet, and as soon as I reach to pick it up she grabs it and runs. I guess these babies make up their own games. She always lets me know what we are going to play in no uncertain terms.

| Mine fetch too...they love the squeaky vinyl balls...and they run like rabbits chasing them. They run so fast they look like they are hopping!! They also both like baseball caps (they have their own to chew on) and they are always toting them around the house and those are bigger than they are. They will also get their squeaky balls and squeak them in each other faces, like "haha, look what I got". These yorkies are such characters!!

| Oh my gosh, yes!!! Fancy could play fetch till your arm feels as if it would fall off... then she just finds someone else to play with. (What an energy level she has!!!) Any kind of toy or her tennis balls, which are too big for her mouth, so they have to be ruffed up so she can carry them by the fuzz. Too cute I don't really think she was actually trained to do this, I think it's just something Yorkies love to do.

| How do you get them to fetch? Susan LOVES to play ball but she will never give me the ball. She'll lay it down near my feet, but she prefers to lay it down several feet away and make me come get it. I have a stick that I use to roll it toward me. But she'll chase it as long as I'll throw it. Also she has figured out a way to play ball pretty well all day long. She leaves her ball in strategic places around the house (like outside the bathroom door, between the bed and the dresser when I'm putting away laundry, and beside the stove when I'm cooking) where she knows I'm going to walk, so I'll kick it. But she won't actually GIVE me the ball. How to get them to do that? |

| That is normal. Chachi likes to play fetch with his ball that has feet. He never wants to give you the ball though

| Is this "selfishness" about giving up the ball a terrier-thing, do you think? That's what my husband thinks. Sometimes Susan acts like she really wants to give it to me. She'll set it down right beside my hand or in my shoe (if I'm sitting down with my shoes off) but then she can't stand it and she'll snatch it back. It's like she can't help herself. |
