| Paws bleed when i take him for a walk I have noticed that when i come from walking my 7month old Yorkie from outside that his paw pads bleed. I wouldnt of noticed till i saw the little blood prints on the bathroom floor i dont think it hurts him because when i did see i cleaned it up and i pressed them to see if he would bark and nothing. I know when i walk him and he walks by let's say something on the floor i dont want him touching i give him a slight pull on his harness so i dont know if when i do that that's what makes his paws bleed. does anyone else have this problem? My poor baby, he enjoys his walks so much too

| Huh......that is strange since he doesn't even act like his paws are hurting him. Are you sure that he didn't just walk in some red mud or something? A lot of times when my 2 furbabies come in from outside on a walk, they'll get red stuff on the carpet and I'll look at it and it is really just red mud. Hope your baby isn't hurting. |

| red mud I thought you only had red mud in the south. Hee Hee. I know in Ga molly gets into it and it will stain the heck out of your carpets and rugs. I do hope it's not blood. What about red paint. Maybe his feed are chapped or rubbed raw. You could try putting some utter balm on them. Hey it couldn't hurt.

| I would bring him to the vet. What if he has something wrong with his paws? I heard a sad story once from my neighbor. Her cousin and his wife had a collie and she had this same thing happen. She ended up having to have a few of her toes removed. I don't remember all the details but I do remember that they saw signs -- like the blood every day after she came home from her daily walk. So I'd definitely bring my baby in to the vet right away just to be on the safe side. Best of luck to you.

So i have an idea for you....my sister makes this amazing sav out of beeswax and its got some water resistance unlike some lotions and stuff....and its all natural...its made out of a blend of herbs that promote healing, and cell regeneration, beeswax, and a blend of oils...so with that oil and beeswax its pretty water resistance...she used to use it on her dogs paws and she said it almost made them feel like puppy paws...she is selling it to make a little money for school and she can make it in several different sizes...if anyone is interested in this stuff...please pm me so i can have her get on the ball haha...

| Years ago we had a rotti and when she was a puppy she would be terrified of the passing cars and would stop walking on the sidewalk. My hubby would pull her leash to make her walk, and not hard either but even this caused the pads of her feet to bleed by dragging them on the cement for a second or two. It does not take to much of a tug to do this on cement as their pads are so soft. |
