| Does anyone have pictures of taped ears? I just taped my puppies ears but am afraid I messed up. I am just so afraid that I did not get an ear in its proper form or something. Is it possible to mess taping up? Can you share your babies ears taped? THank you! |

| Okay I don't have pictures, but here is a step by step of how I taped ears. I got it off a web site, but don't know which one it was. 1. Make sure you shave the top of the ears, so you don't have the extra weight pulling the ears down. 2. I then stick something inside the ear to give it a little bit of support. I used just a couple of peices of tape, taped onto the inside of the ear. I know of people who have used a cotton ball or a small tampon cut off (the string hanging out might make him look a little funny). Just make sure not to stick it in to the ear canal. 3. Then I pinch the sides of the ears together towards the bottom of the ear. and then wrap the tape around. I found that it worked best starting at the bottom and then working up.. Usually you don't cover the tips of the ears with the tape. I know I resently saw a picture of a puppy on puppyfind with it's ears taped. You could look there if no one else gets a picture posted.

I then fold the ear like a taco long way and use medical tape and wrap around a couple of times. Take off in about 24 hours, let the ears rest and if need be, tape again.

I did that to my bella, she has some REALLY hairy ears and thats why they would not stand up, But I trimmed them and I didnt let the hair get to heavy on them. Then they started standing up on there own. I trimmed them every time one of her ears look like it wanted to fall. This went on for about 2 months and now they stay up on there own. she is 7months old. Remind your hubby the hair will grow back. Its not going to stay like that for every!. | |

| Ok wow I think I have over taped lol. THank you everyone for the advise and pictures! I am gonna have to retape their ears . What is the correct amount of time to leave their ears taped? I have read to leave them on for 1 week then take the tape off for no more than 24 hours then retape for another week. I have heard for 1 day and also for 3days!?!?!? Is their a correct amount of time? Thanks again |

| I taped Rexy's ears on 3 occasions for 2-3 days each time - but his ears would not stand. He is absolutely adorable now, with floppy ears. Here is his pic with tape on.

| Here's Maddie with her ears taped. I don't know if I did it correctly, but it did the job...her little ears stood proud after about 24 hours. One or both would droop now and then during the cutting teeth phase, but once that was over, they have both been up ever since.
