I actually gave Oreo a bath when he still had kennel cough because when he went to the vet, and they were doing his temperature, they got all the sticky goo on his butt and around his fur, and he was just smelly lol but he didn't worsen or anything, he was about 2 pounds then (at 10 weeks). i do think it would be a good idea to make sure they are as warm as possible. many others will say not to give a bath with kennel cough, so im not really sure!

My baby had kennel cough for 7 weeks. We were at the vets weekly to be checked. I was starting to get a little scaried, he coughed for so long. I also wondered about the bathing thing but I had to as he was a messy pooper and really smelly. I just made sure that he didn't catch a chill. I do also know what you mean about the agressiveness. I can barely brush him out he tries to bite me. I can't get in his ears, cut the hair around his eyes either. He is quite nasty. He turns into the tasmanine devil. You are not alone. He is 5 months old, so I am hoping he will grow out of it.

thanks for replying I am glad that I am not by himself. I would not even try to cut her hair around her eyes. You are brave! Thanks for the info.

Babi, I think if your pup needs a bath then do it but make sure she doesnt catch a chill. Keep her as warm as you can. Good luck.

I blow dry her completely and put a little shirt on her, They are so fragile that you never know what is best. Thanks for the advise, Since she lives inside the house and is constantly on top of us, I really do not want her to smell yucky. I bathe her once a wk. or every 8 days. Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it

One thing you could do when you bathe her, is before that, put a couple of towels in the dryer to get them warm, so once you are done, you can wrap her in the warm towels for a while. Keeps them warm and also helps them to start drying faster!
