| Eeeek! So I went home for lunch today and just as I was getting ready to leave, I saw Ferdinand batting something around on the floor. I thought it was a stick at first. I told him "no" and started walking toward him... of course, as usual, he picked it up and started running. The chase was on. When I finally got him, I opened his mouth and didn't find anything. I put him down, and sure enough he started chewing. I opened his mouth again and took the "unknown item" out. When it started moving in my hand, I realized it was a gigantic spider!!!!!!!!! The thing was huge... and hairy! I threw it, then freaked out because I didn't want it to run and hide somewhere only to reappear unexpectedly later today. I ran and grabbed a glass cup and turned it upside down on it on the tile floor on top of the nasty huge spider and left a note next to it for my boyfriend saying "I think it's time to call an exterminator". I'm from Oregon, so I'm not used to all these spiders (I think it was a tarantula) and snakes and scorpions... YUK

| Well thank goodness Ferdinand didn't get bit by that spider. Some spiders can really cause harm with their bite! I would have freaked out too! Yikes!!!

| OMG I wouldv'e fainted. I'm aracnophobic. Just reading your story is making my muscles tense up. At work the other day there were banana spiders...they looked like baby tarantulas! They were huge. I was up on a chair and almost in tears! Make sure this spider you found isn't poisenous. Good thing it didn't bite your baby!

| Yeah, it wasn't fun. We've had a couple of scorpions in our house too... which worries me with them being on the floor and Ferdinand on the floor.
