| Grooming Schedule Do you have a grooming schedule? I'm not talking about grooming as in hair trimming and nail clipping ... I mean a nightly or weekly grooming maintenance schedule. I have a nightly grooming schedule. I first gently wash Codie and Tia's feet, booty and pee pee. Then I put lotion on the pads of their feet (be careful what type of lotion you use!! Don't use a scented lotion because they could lick it off and get sick or they could be allergic to it. I use vaseline with lanolin [recommended by my vet] and it's amazing -- their feet are so soft!!!). Then I brush their little teeth (Tia has a pink hello kitty tooth brush and Codie has a blue superman tooth brush lolol). After that, I spray some pet cologne on them and comb their hair. Then we're all ready for bed!! If it's cold outside, I put their pajamas on too. All of that is done nightly. They also get a bath once a week. Ok, now it's your turn to post your nightly grooming rituals!!

| I brush Chachi and Jewels hair at night and brush their teeth. Sometimes I put this cologne I have on them that smells like baby powder

Wow! You are GOOD! The only thing that gets done daily around here is Sugar's topknot. I do try to brush all three daily but it doesn't always happen.

| I brush teeth every night...brush hair during the day. What is this pet cologne I'm reading? Is it natural? Is it safe? Is it good for anti-flea? We haven't had a flea problem but I'm always thinking of prevention. suz |

| I am a new Yorkie mommy, and home during the day so Sophies routine happens every morning after my shower. I take a shampoo wet cloth and clean her head and feet, and take the flea comb and tear stain remover pads and clean her eyes, I then give her a good brush down and she is back to a fluff ball instead of looking like a little rat puppy. I also give her a bath about every 3 days simply because she sometimes steps in her poop or has a pee accident in her crate. I can't wait for her fur to get longer so I can really start putting bows in. |

| Are we all nuts or what? Well we don't do grooming in the pm. We do ours in the am. I comb Buddy every morning. No more brush. I read somewhere on here that someone found a comb better so I went out and bought a nice medal one with a great handle. His hair is starting to get longer and I have to say it works great.(letting him grow in for the first time) Anyhow, after combing I brush his teeth and then he gets a toothbrite cookie. Fresh breath is a must! He knows the routine and gets in position before I get the stuff! LOL Loves toothpaste! Buddy gets bathed every other Sat. I use vasoline on his paws a couple times a week. His paws get washed everytime he comes back from a walk. No P.J's at night. Just a kiss on the head and nighty nite Bud, mommy loves you. Lights out and we are both counting z's in no time! Carol |

| Lexi's mom sounds like me! No kids, not have any so Buddy is my baby! He doesn't have his own room - we have to share - but he does have his own bed in nearly every room - kitchen, living room and bathroom - and he has his car seat - BUT as for grooming routine, I keep his hair short (I feel like he is more "manly" that way :-) ) so occasionally I just run a brush through his hair and use a warm washcloth if his face gets yucky - but I don't have a routine. I know I should brush his teeth, but I haven't really - I've relied on his bully bones and such to do the work...I am a bad mom! |
