| Why would a breeder delay a sale? 2 Years ago i purchased a yorkie from a breeder who turned out just beautiful although her legs were a little long. 1 year ago i called and inquired about a male he had and he said it had been sold but he had a female that was due and he would put me on a list and i would get first choice. When the litter was born he e-mailed me and said she had three boys and i needed to send him a deposit and he would let me know when they were ready to go. I didn't hear from him in some time so i e-mailed inquiring as to when i could pick up my little boy but he told me he had a heart condition and he had recieved the other two buyers deposit first so i wouldn't be able to get a pup at this time but that he had another female due in a couple of weeks and i would get first choice since i already had my deposit in. This time the female had one male. He emailed me pictures and said it would he would let me know when it would be ready to go. Last Monday he told me this was the smallest male he ever had. On Friday he said the pup would be ready this week but that he had an elderly lady interested and to let him know if i was still interested. I told him i was and would be ready to pick up this week. He emailed me yesterday and said he was ready and i could pick him up. Late last night i get an e-mail saying he was in a delima and this other lady had been waiting a year also and he wanted me to wait for his next litter. He said he would refund me my deposit if i didn't want to wait. These pups are really nice quality show quality i feel and i wanted to get into to showing but show breeders (i find) won't sell to others not in the business. Why would anyone make me wait again? Think he has been offered more money? |

| Thats ashame. I think he should give you the puppy since he had already promised that he would give it to you. My babies are not show quality but the person I got Mimi from actually had 2 girls and someone else was going to buy the other but she told the person that she needed to wait because I had first pick...and go figure I was paying less than the other person because I got Timmy from her too so she gave me a discount. |

| This has information and pictures of his adults http://www.breeders.net/breeder/145310 I will post pics of the pups and mother later. I'm so disappointed. When you have had your hopes up for so long and to be let down.... it's just upsetting. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | That's very sad having been "Put off" for so long. I agree thst the person is probably thinking highest bidder and I would ask for my $ back. Did you get a contract promising from next litter?? Just wondering. Good Luck though.

| why don't you ask the breeder out right why he keeps putting you off when he already has your money? they should be able to answer without getting offended.

| No i didn't get a contract but i still have all the emails. But even if you have a contract if the seller doesn't honor it then it falls onto the purchaser to either seek legal action or wait for the next. He did say he would return my money. A few post i listed a posting on here would you please look at the post and pictures and see what you think as far as if i should wait. As i mentioned i really would like to get into showing and he is the only person with great looking Yorkies willing to sell to outside the show people. Or does anyone know of where someone that would like to get into showing might be able to purchase a show quality pup. I know you usually can't tell show quality until much older but you get a pretty good idea from how the parents look/feel. |

| There are plenty of other yorkie breeders who have dogs who look that nice or nicer and will not mess around with you like this guy is. I can give you my breeders name. She has beautiful dogs and they are show quality and champions and she was very good to me and helped me choose and pick out the right body type and personality and she has people on her waiting list. Don't let someone play with you like that especially when you can get just as nice looking or nicer elsewhere. suzie |
