My Chewy loves corn on the cob. When I am finished eating on one, she sits patiently till I give it to her. I hold onto it and she picks the corn pieces I missed and eats them. She loves it! She would eat the whole thing, but I don't let her, naturally....I'm sure it wouldn't hurt them, except all that fiber! Yikes! A few leftover pieces of the corn won't hurt them, tho.

Be careful - a few years ago a little mixed breed of mine chewed on a corn cob and loved it -- but later during the night she was in a lot of pain, and I ended up carrying her around all night like a baby with colic. And I swear I could feel pieces of corn cob in her stomach that were having a problem going through. The end result was that she really didn't digest them much at all - hugh pieces were in her stool the next day or two - and she suffered a lot. So corn cobs are off my list of things for my dog to eat. ***** My dogs have iron stomach and can eat almost everything. I have never had to be very careful with them at all --- I think the corn cob is one of the few things I have ever had a problem with. Carol Jean

The corn sure doesn't hurt the dogs -- it's trying to digest the corn cobs that is the problem. I know for a fact - if any of you were up all night with your little dog in pain like mine was - you wouldn't let them eat corn cobs again. That was one sad night! Carol Jean

I have given Sadie a cob of corn once in a while for the past few years...luckily she doesnt even think of trying to eat the cob..she just nibbles off the corn and leaves the cob behind..Im sure the cob would be awful to try and digest.. Dawn
