| Fighting With Each Other My boys have always gotten along but lately Bear growls alot and then Shado just gets in his face and aggravates him more then they go at each other fighting. Does anyone have advice on what to do or why Bear who usually is the easiest going guy is so grumpy?

| Power Struggle? Sounds like their having a Power struggle? Who is usually "Alpha" in your Pack? You need to step-in the moment it starts, regardless of who starts it? Correct them now before it gets out of hand, that way you seem like the "Alpha" always in control. I have 2, but 1 is a male and the other is a female so it's easier IMO, to keep them in check, b/c even though they are adorable they do have that "Small mans complex", even the females do. Hormones kick in too? It's hard to say what causes it w/o knowing more details? Good Luck, Aloha* |

| They both are boys and though Shado is 4 months younger and is smaller he is the dominant one. I have had them for almost 2 years and they have always been best buddies. They have always wrestled and they get pretty ruff too but this is different. It usually is when we are laying in bed and playing everything will be fine then out of the clear blue Bear starts this low growling and his body starts to tremble and he bears his teeth at Shado. Of course Shado gets right in Bears face just like daring him then they go hard at each other. Like a dummy not worried about getting bit I jump in pulling them apart and they usually have a good hold on each other. so far only by the hair. I will put them in separate rooms but they whine for each other but if I let them together they go right back to fighting. A few hours later I can let them play together again. This usually only happens a few times a week but I am scared they are going to hurt each other and it is so out of character for Bear who has always been so easy going.

| I have found that when my Tinker is feeling bad, she is very grumpy! She has a floating knee cap that gives her problems and I can always tell when it is flared up by her grumpiness... just a thought... d

| I know this sounds crazy but you need to be the alpha, they are struggling to see who is pack leader and if you don't take over they will continue to fight...

| I really don't think it's the Alpha thing but TootiesMom might have something Bear had his hip operated on about a year ago and sometimes he will pick it up and carry it. I will call the vet tomorrow to check on this. Thanks for the help.
