| Is this normal? Our puppy seems to nap quite a bit. He is 3 ½ months old. He rips and runs for about 10-15 minutes then he naps or lounges for about an hour. He drinks water regularly and grazes on his puppy food. Is this much rest normal? |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Welcome!!! Sounds pretty normal. As long as he plays hard in between.

Layla is 7 months.. and does the same.. plays hard... and rests hard! as long as he seems happy and healthy when he plays... sounds like you are doing a great job! i tend to forget that what seems like a small amount of play to us... really tuckers these little guys out.. they work a lot hard to get where they are going.. lots of steps! |

| Yes its very normal...Reece is 12 weeks old and does the same thing...he loves to wrestle around with his sisters and then you look around and he is sleeping in a closet somewhere. Sometimes he sleeps for what seems like forever but I know its normal. Just like a real baby!! Dawn |

| Tino still does that at 9 months. They start to get longer playtimes and then shorter naps depending on how much exercise they are getting. But totally normal to me. Wait till he gets into his "terrible two's" you miss the day when all he did was nap, haha.

| Sounds fine to me. My dog is a year old and sleeps the better part of the day away. But when he plays, he plays his heart out..... and, of course, if we have company or someone to play with -- he plays a lot more. I'm sure a lot of our dog's sleeping is because there isn't anything more interesting to do. Carol Jean |
