| Car and pooping issues It seems EVERYTIME I take Juliet in the car with me, she s****. I have taken her out and have run into the gas station for a mere 2 minutes, only to come back out to poop on my seat!!! Today I took her to the bank with me, then ran into the gas station. I came out and she had pooped on my seat again. She does this EVERY TIME! Is she mad at me for leaving here there, even if it is just for a couple minutes or what??? | Hmmmm...I suppose she could be mad at you for leaving her. Maybe you should have a carrier along and just take her in with you. I hope you get it figured out!

| Hmm that's weird lol... you should just put some towels and/or potty pads on your seats until she learns to hold it in... |

| Maybe she gets nervous/afraid that you are leaving her alone. I'd carry her with me. Someone could steal her out of your car!

| I also think she is nervous... Luna starts crying and scratching the window if I don't bring her, so now, I do it...

| My Bitsy can't seem to hold it in when she is in my car... I always have her in a Pet Carrier though... so cleanup isn't so bad... I agree with the others that it is probably NERVES. Best of luck with her.

| When Gracie is in the car, she rides in her carrier or in her car seat. She is secured either way with a strap that is hooked onto her harness. I keep a pee pad in the bottom of either. She has NEVER wet or pooped in her carrier or in the car seat. It is like a crate to her I guess. At any rate, this method would keep things contained and off YOUR car seat.

| I agree with everyone else, it's definitly probably nerves! Try the carseat idea, it will help with her pottying in your car, plus when your driving it will be safer for her. When I get gas, I always pay at the pump, so Rocky stays in the car. If I have to go get cigarrettes or something to drink, I pull right up to the door if I'm not getting gas. That way I can keep a close eye on my car, and keep it locked up.

| The first time I took Max to show off my new baby to my friend Gail, he was about 4 months old and knew nothing about going outside. He had only gone on the pads (or the floor). Max, in true yorkie fashion, started to jump on Gail, with his little paws waving, trying to get to her to kiss and smell her. She's not a dog lover and asked me to hold onto him because she really didn't want to be licked and kissed. She's a very good friend so I didn't get upset. I felt bad for my puppy because he was learning to socialize, but he won't be needing therapy because of it. If she wasn't such as good friend, I may have cut the day short. Love me, love my dog, I guess. Anyway, Max poops when we go out because of nerves. He has since learned to go in the street, so I don't worry so much anymore, but that day, after spending about an hour walking around, we went into a drug store and had to wait. He started to whine, but I thought nothing of it. We got back to the car and as soon as we started driving, I said to Gail, "Do you smell poop?' I looked down and Max had pooped all over my lap. I started to laugh because I really wanted Gail to love him and this was some introduction!! She luckily had some handiwipes and I cleaned up the steering wheel, the door, my pants, etc. as well as I could. It's amazing how poop gets around a car fast! Anway, Gail and I have had a good laugh over this and she does enjoy the fact that I love him so much. She does admit that he's adorable and belongs on a calendar. Judy |
