| Riley's having surgery! About 8:30am Riley, my son & I were on the sofa. I got up to make breakfast for my son & I heard what I now figure were her nails as she fell off the arm of the sofa. I heard her cry out & she came hopping on 3 legs. I picked her up, checked her over. There was no visible signs. I massaged her leg, put her in warm water. But by 11am I figured I'd better take her in. After xrays I was told that she "displaced her knee cap". She has to have surgery! I was sent to a specialist. I had to leave Riley there since they want to do the surgery as soon as possible. I feel awful! She's such a good puppy. She looked so sad. I just called the hospital, she going in now for the surgery. I hope everything turns out ok. For only having her for 4 months I can't even imagine my days without her. |

| surgery update Just got a call from the hospital. Riley's out of surgery & everything went well. Hopefully I'll be able to bring her home tomorrow. She will have 6 weeks of recovery time. Luckily I only work 2 houses down & my boss is insisting that I bring her to work everyday. So Riley will be will me 24/7. |
