| Zoe was spayed/teeth pulled last Fri... Poor baby was looking so tired and groggy Fri when we took her home. It was had to see her in a state other than her sweet bounch self. She cried the entire weekend probably because of the pain so we gave her pain meds. Seems like the spay didn't bother her as much as the teeth pulling. She is up and about now, but slept most of the weekend. My husband and I took shifts watching over her. I've been giving her canned food-Innova, the kind she can just lick and gobble w/o chewing and chicken and rice mixture grounded up in bits as well as baby food the first evening. When is it safe to bring her back to dry kibbles? She had 3 tooth removed with sutures. Also, for those that work, what do you do with the stitches part. SHe hates the buster collar and as suggested on the forum, we put her in onsies, but she pees right through this when she needs to go. If I forgo the onsies, there's a chance she may pull her stitches. What I did this am was put a tiny bandaid in the stitch area, put a diaper on her with a pad to absorb the pee and put a onsie on. If I only put the onsie on, she will soak up her entire underside of the onsie. Sugguestions would be appreciated. How long does the stitches last before they fall off? how long should I hold off baths? When can I start brushing her teeth again? |

| Lady just got spayed last thursday....We had a quiet weekend too...she did a lot of sleeping...I have her wearing onesies, she peed through them the first few times now shes doing ok with it...as far as the stiches, my vet told me between 10 and 12 days she has to come back to get them taken out, I would imagine that after the stiches are out then you can give them a bath...Sorry but I don't know the answer to the teeth brushing...Lady didn't have any teeth taken out... |

| Sounds like you're doing everything you can for her. I imagine the teeth are the reason for her pain, too. Bless her little heart!
