| For those of you that use benadryl... Lola has been scratching again since a visit from the groomers. Think she is allergic to whatever shampoo they used. Anyway, I bought some children's benadryl and I wonder what kind of dosage I should try. I would appreciate anyone's input. Thanks!

| There was a thread here not too long ago where someone posted all the dosages to various meds. I meant to print it and save it. It would be something good to tape to the inside of a medicine cabinet. Hopefully, someone will see this and post it again because now I can't find it. |

| Children's Benadryl - Use for allergic reactions from an insect bite or plant pollen . Use 1/2 mg. per pound, every eight hours, but no more than 3 total doses. Also call your vet for advice. I have heard of many taking up to 2mg per pound, but this is for those that take it on a daily basis for allergies and develop a resistance to it. |

| Emma has seasonal allergies, for which we give 2mL of Children's Benadryl liquid. She weighs 4 pounds or so. This was vet advised. I'd check with your vet to be absolutely sure. |
