| Please Learn From Us... My Dad, who is elderly, lives with us. He was going out to the garage yesterday and didn't realize Pogo was behind him. Pogo's leg got hit by the door and it broke his Tibia (sp?). We were lucky that is all it did. He is in a wrap and cone (poor baby) for about 5 days. We got lucky. He could have lost a leg or been killed. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put bells on your babies. It never even occured to us. I feel so stupid. My poor Father was utterly devastated, as were we. To make matters worse, it is pouring here in SoCal. We are trying to deal with potty training and such. I think Pogo will spend most of today wrapped in a warm blanket in my arms.. |

| Ohhh..poor baby, but I know exactly how that can happen. I stepped on my 2 -1/2 lb. baby with my full weight (which is a lot ), my God, I thought I killed her or at least broke several bone. She cried for 30 minutes, limped a little, wouldn't let me touch her for a while, but then was fine. I hope your baby gets better real soon. |

| I am so sorry to hear about Pogo. It is such a hard thing when they are hurt and injured. I sure hope that he recovers quickly. I totally agree about the bell. My sister has a Maltese and when she was little they kept a bell on her at all times and she suggested the same for my Tess when I got her. It has definitely helped her many times. These little babies are so small and the bell helps keep track of them. Puppy hugs and kisses from Tess for a speedy recovery (woof)! |

| Poor Pogo These little guys are so quick you really have to know where they are all the time. I bet your poor dad feels really bad. Doors are dangerous, especaill if you have a really heavy one, slammig. Give Pogo a hug from me...Theresa & The Boys |

| I don't have a bell on Cordelia's collar, but I do have some charms on there that jingle when she is moving. I also have almost shut the door on her one time. They are so little and move so quickly and they like to get right under your feet. Sorry to hear that happened.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I feel so bad for ALL of you - they move so quick and those kind of accidents happen so easily - Tell your grandpa Pogo will forgive him and he knows it was an accident - poor guy !! I think you were lucky ....there's some posts I read about yorkies and doors that would just bring tears to your eyes...not that THIS didn't ....but you still have your baby and that's the important thing !! I hope he mends quickly so he can run around again...you know he'll probably give that door another shot too- They're such little sneaks ! ....Get well Pogo !! |

| Thanks so much.. Thanks so mcuh for the support everyone. You should see the little guy move. I think it made him FASTER He chewed off his first wrap last night so we had to take him back to redo it. They put the 'cone of silence' on him. Boy, was he miserable. I took it off him this morning, and for the most part he is leaving it alone. He has sure been full of piss and vinegar though. He is tiring me out! Shhhhh...he is napping right now, thank God. |

Great news that you posted that he is doing so well and that it hasn't slowed him down. Hope your dad is doing as well as pogo Things like that happen, thank God he will be ok and sharing your story can save our yorkies. Feel better Pogo and Gramdpa

| I am sorry worried about doors, especially the self closing kind like on GARAGES! My husband and my kids think I'm paranoid because I am always yelling "WATCH OUT" when they go out the door. I have to show them Pogo's story and maybe they will watch more closely! So glad Pogo is going to be okay! |
