| You will not believe this..... I took Timmy to get groomed this past Saturday. My groomer does him at her house. Well anyway..as I am driving I see this dog in the middle of the road just walking. As I look more I noticed it was a YORKIE! I told my friend...." I feel like opening the door and telling him to come" My friend started laughing and I was like OMG why would they let him out and not watch him. You just don't know how tempted I was. So I walked into the goomers house and I asked if that was a Yorkie and she said YES and he's always out in the middle of the road and one time she almost hit him with the car because he ran right in front of her. I aked if she knew who the Yorkie belonged to and she said no. I told my fiancee what I was going to do and he was like why didn't you do it. I just don't want to take anyones dog..I'm not sure what house he lived at. Apparently who ever has him does not care enough for him. What should I do if I see him out there again? I almost had a heart attack because cars were driving by and not too far is the highway. |

| If It was me I would pick him up and take him home. If hes running lose he will prob get hit. I would then put an ad in the paper saying I found this dog running lose and go from there. |

| My breeder was telling me her and her Hubby had just came from a late vet visit a few months ago when they saw this Older Yorkie on the side of a country road on their way home, Her hubby did not want to stop and she did.She said the poor thing looked so dirty and scared. well a week later there was an ad in the paper that this older couple had lost their 13 year old dog and it needs its meds. She felt so bad about it because it was never found and she could of picked it up and now feels so quilty because she didnt. I'm not trying to make you feel guilty not at all Im just telling her story . I know I would had to of stopped and picked it up .Yorkie or not. |

| I say pick it up and put and ad in the local newspaper. Make sure to quarantine it and take it to the vet to have up to date. Good luck and hope to see pics soon!

| i would pick him up and keep him. his owners do not deserve him. in a matter of time he will get run over anyway. i would pick him up and bring him to a vet before i brought him home. just to be sure he's healthy and not a threat to timmy. he deserves a better life. maybe he hangs by the road because he wants to be picked up. |

| I think you should pick him up as well, esp. since the groomer said she sees him all the day and he has been witnessed in the road before. I couldn't let my yorkie (or any dog for that matter) run less outside alone, ESP. if I was close enough to the road.

| I'd sure pick it up!! And yea on vet check too, since you do have a yorkie you love dearly. This poor pup is obviously not loved too much, or it wouldn't be running up and down the roads alone! I don't know if I'd place an ad in the paper, but I would look for one in the lost section. If they're really worried, they'll place an ad. I'd also make them sweat wondering if they'll ever get him/her back too!! Sweat at least a week or 2, maybe longer! If you don't see an ad, I'm sure you could find a good home for this pup. Many would love a good loving yorkie. This dog really deserves a loving home! Only time my older one goes in the front yard, is to get in the car and ride with me somewhere! Now my new baby, don't have a clue about front yard. |

| Well when I got off work I drove by but I didn't see him. I seen him right around the corner from my job so I will be passing by every day after work because I live about 20 mins away from my job. I am also going to talk to my groomer...I know the reason why my groomer hasn't taken him is because there are alot of ghetto people that live in that area .....she is selling her house because of that and its ashame because that used to be a awesome neighborhood. My cousin used to live in a house in that same street and one day this guy broke in to her house while she was sleeping and had a knife to her neck..she was able to fight him off of her. Lets see what happens...and if i do get him I will take him to the vet immediately....Thanks for the advice all! |
