| When I am gone Instead of putting Sadie in her crate when I am gone, I like to put her in the laundry room as it is bigger. I have only done this five times, as I have only had her 8 days. She most she has been in there is an hour each time. She has food, water, and a pee pad just in case she really has to go, but I always take her out before I put her in that room. She is totally housebroken, so may not use the pad, but I feel I need something in there in case she cannot hold off. Anyway I leave a radio on for her as well. Now, she won't even go down to the daylight basement. She knows what will happen. My family room is downstairs and I could just let her roam the entire basement, but am alittle leery that she could rebel and get destructive. Do any of your dogs ruin things when you are gone just to "get even"? Do any of you keep your pet in an enclosed room, and do they hate being put in there? I bet it would not matter where I put her when I leave; she would not be happy. I am feeling so guilty leaving her, and needed some feedback. Thanks. Kate |

| No matter what, you are always gonna feel guilty for leaving. I've had my dogs for a year and a half and I always feel bad when I have to go to work. If you are only taking her to the basement to put her in the laundry room, no wonder she doesn't want to go down there!!! Yorkies are super duper smart, and they figure things out really quickly. I know it's hard to confine them, but really, it's the safest thing for them while you are not there to supervise them. |

| I guess I need to spend time in the family room in the basement, but when I have free time I am usually upstairs in the den, on the computer. That would prob. make her feel better. Thanks.
