| Rocky loves the fields!! We went to my uncles today, and they have ALOT of land. In their land, there is a huge field with tall grass, and unfortunatly a lot of those sticky weeds that are live velcro! He came out with huge pieces of grass sticking off him, and when I went to pull one off his ear, he screamed! I thought it was jabbed in him, but it was like glued with those velcro things!! He has them on his throat, right ear, and right leg. We tried getting them out, but the seeds are so close to his skin, I don't want to cut him. My mom said with in a week they should dry up and fall out, but I feel so bad for him. THey dont bother him, he only itched them a couple times, but it's so wierd to pet him now...my poor baby Has this ever happened to anyone elses dog? Anyone know any easy tricks to get them out, besides cutting and taking him to a groomer?

| I know what you're talking about, but I don't let mine in those places for that reason. Do you have a metal comb? Perhaps he'd let you comb them out a little at a time? I don't know, but I'm really sorry. He probably feels like a little nubby yorkie right now, huh? It will work out. I'm sure.

Yeah I was planning on trying that, but it got his hair natted up and is right on the skin, I don't think it's going to work His hair probably will have to be cut, but I don't want him to have bald spots I didn't even think of those being in the field. My uncle was like "Come on Rocky lets go for a walk" and was with him outside, and he ran right to the field and was having too much fun jumping around in it!

| The only possibility and I'm not even sure it would work or not would be to spray his hair with conditioner and try to comb them out that way (if he'd let you). As I've said, I know what those things are already. You can walk across the grass and those seeds will even stick to your jeans!

| I sure wouldn't wait a week to let them dry up and fall off on their own. They can work their way into his skin especially if he's scratching at them. Just use a little pair of scissors and just cut off the bare minimum. Debbie has gotten some big burrs on her and I've had to use the scissors. You couldn't even tell after they'd been removed. |

My mom said this happened to one of her dogs before, frequently, and that they always fall off. I'm going to try the conditioner tomarrow, and see how that goes. Theirs literally no room for me to cut
